I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Corned Beef or Just Re-hash?

January 28th 2010 11:04
B.O. (B.S.) got to enjoy face time again last night. His endless speech was boring enough to keep even Biden yawning. And why should yawning come with the repetitive droning? Sort of like peanut butter and jelly, they go so well together.

Every time he blathered on about listing all the earmarks on the internet before any voting, I yawned. Blaming President Bush seems to be his favorite old stand-by when it comes to rhetorical garbage. Glossing over national security was no surprise, of course, since it is nothing close to a priority with him. In short, the speech was a crock. He did manage to squeeze in his favorite word more than 100 times... that word is "I".

As usual, he whined about Republicans being the party of "NO!" Let's think about that for a minute, shall we, folks?

"Hey, let's kill a few million babies and force everyone to pay for it!"

"No."

"Let's throw another few trillion dollars down the rat hole!"

"No."

"Let's give terrorists all the rights of citizens and protect them!"

"No."

"Let's just open the borders and welcome more illegals so they can vote for Democrats!"

"No."

"Let's break all those stupid promises that got us elected!"

"No."

"Let's create the biggest bureaucracy in the universe, charge a fortune for poor quality medical care, and socialize everything!"

"No."

That's about the size of it, folks. Being the party of "NO!" isn't such a bad thing when you consider the consequences of being a "Yes man" to the destruction of everything good. He managed again to squeeze in the lie about there being no viable alternatives to his "healthcare reform" trash.

How many gullible turkeys will actually be fooled by the repeated promises of "transparency" and "integrity" when they must have already seen that B.O. (B.S.) doesn't understand the concepts.

After a disastrous first year in office, the best we can hope for is a rerun of the same lies we have already heard? Hash is good, but re-hashed lies are still lies, they just stick out a little more with each cooking.

Very amusing treatment of these serious issues, just how do such folks get their credentials?

Loved the title, well done, S.L.

Thanks katyzzz. It seems that if a politician can read a teleprompter, support all the "right" causes, and lie with a straight face, he (or she) can get elected. Too often, once in office, they get automatically re-elected until they think they own Washington DC.

He did throw out a couple of more conservative issues (drilling offshore, nuclear energy), but I don't believe he'd ever really push for them. He was just trying to manipulate to GOP into clapping, IMO. Other that that, it was mainly him saying that he was moving forward with his agenda -- and that's exactly the opposite of the message from the MA election.

He probably thinks he fooled everyone, PopCon. I heard the mention of drilling and nuclear, but dismissed it as just another line. B.O. (B.S.) is only interested in his own agenda, and what's best for the country has nothing to do with it.

I loved his speech S.L., I was scared that he would actually change direction and move center right on his policies.

He has dug in and hold his ground, we see how that has worked out so far in Mass., Virginia, and New Jersey. The mid term are coming I hoped he would be stubborn.

With the mood of the Nation dems are going to have a hard time, Obama has really brought change and hope to the republican party.

Good point, Lester! He's making conservatism more popular all the time! I used to wonder why he gets into a hole and isn't smart enough to put down the shovel. Now I understand. His digging is done with his mouth!

lol S.L. he does remind of a big excavator digging deeper and deeper.

How's your weather? We are under a winter storm warning I am expecting 10 inches of snow, I just hope the electric doesn't go off.

I hope you've got a fireplace, Lester, just in case! Wish I had one...

No fire place kerosene heaters for back up, we didn't get the 10 we only got 6 inches but the temps went to single digits last night is cold this morning.

Roads are still pretty much untouched and very slick not Church today it's just to dangerous for people to travel.

What's sad is I don't have a fire place, and I gave my wood stove to a friend that needed it. A few years ago electric was cheat here since we are one of the top coal producing states.

But now our electric rates have just about doubled, I kinda feel stupid for going total electric now. I have and unlimited amount of fire wood on property.

My house once had a fireplace, Lester. It was removed long before I bought it. Can you get propane? My furnace doesn't depend on electricity, so even with a power failure, we won't freeze.

It might be a good idea for you to see about a wood stove again. Especially since you can supply your own wood. I'd like to have one, but no idea where I'd put it...

I did a remodel a few years ago and lost anyway of using a wood stove. It would be very expensive to put a flu, and buy a stove right now.

But that's very good advice, I have been thinking about making that investment again. In the long run if these winters continue to be very cold it would pay for itself in a couple of years.

Perhaps the sale of some firewood would help defray the costs...? There's no way of knowing what the weather will be next year, but with Glo-bull warming, it could get even colder! lol
