God Has a Great Sense of Humor!

There's a saying I heard, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." After giving it some thought, I have to agree. Every time people "plan" something grandiose without asking God's blessings, it fails. Ever hear of the Tower of Babel?
He is doing it again. Showing humans how foolish they are! Every time Algore schedules one of his silly "Glo-bull Warming" performances, it turns cold. He's been snowed out several times, in fact. Imagine how annoyed God must be when He hears someone running his face about how mankind caused climate change! Algore pretending that people can change the climate of God's Earth isn't much different from trying to build a tower to Heaven. He knocked down the Tower of Babel and confused the languages when humans tried to make themselves His equals. I wonder what else He can do to make the point that He is in control of the climate, not us.
While the Chinese were forced to kill their baby girls and only allowed one child per family, I'm sure God was mourning for the murdered children. But He made His point! China discovered an imbalance in their birth rate. Too many boys, not enough girls. He took His time, but anyone with a brain can see His hand in the ultimate results.
I can't help but wonder what sort of culmination we will face for believing Algore and his trained dingbats. We'll find out, I'm sure, if we don't get off the "green" bandwagon and give God credit for the climate. He did create it and He is in control. If we keep getting "too big for our britches" and tooting our own horn, God might just drop our britches and spank us with the horn!

Now, I suppose these can be the work of the "green mafia" that you are so keen to conduct a "jihad" against? But, here is my question: should we just stop trying to do things differently? Should we just act stupid? Just because the bible says so...I thought religion also told us to think too....

According to real science, like the geological record for example, sea levels have risen and fallen, temperatures have gone up and down, droughts have come and gone, volcanoes and earthquakes have occurred all throughout the planet's history. Mankind didn't cause any of it. We didn't change the Gobi Desert from a farmland to a desert. We didn't cause (or end) an Ice Age. Only pride and arrogance allow mankind to take credit for things they can't control.
The secret to survival AOF, is to adapt to the changes. Adapting doesn't mean coming unglued and raving like lunatics. Adapting doesn't require believing in silly fairytales or those who tell them. Adapting doesn't mean we have to pay higher taxes and make phonies rich.
What adapting does mean is that if it's cold outside, wear a coat. If it's raining, get an umbrella. Planting drought resistant crops also works. Building plants to convert sea water to drinking water is another idea. Using a little ingenuity instead of panicking is a better idea than what the "greenies" want us to do.

It had been raining for days, and the river's waters finally came up over it's banks and threatened the nearby homes. The officials sent out a warning to evacuate.
One man said "No, I will not evacuate. The Lord will save me."
The flood waters rose. The man had to go to the 2nd story of his home to avoid getting wet. A rescue boat came to get him. The man stuck his head out the window and said, "No, the Lord will rescue me."
The flood waters rose even more. The man went to his roof and waited on the Lord. Another boat came by to get him, but still he refused. "The Lord will rescue me!" He said.
The flood waters continued to rise, until the man was standing on his tip-toes on his roof. A helicopter came to pluck him out of the flood, but STILL he refused. "I'm waiting on a miracle from the Lord. I have faith. God will rescue me!"
Finally, the man was struggling in the water with no sight of help. He cried out to God, "Lord, where are you? I've been waiting faithfully for you, why won't you save me?"
God answered, "What do you mean, 'where am I?' I sent you two boats and a helicopter!"
DO NOT IGNORE THE WARNING SIGNS.

If the climate changes, adaptation is the key to survival. Not higher taxes, not "carbon credits" not hysterics.

Speak for yourself Anonymouth. You are NO Christian so stop giving us that are a bad name. Find something better to do with your time. Just because you can insert some pictures with your comments does not make your fake routine believable!!! Laughable maybe... okay definitely... but not believable. You can not call yourself a Christian without actually living in those same principals you claim to hold high. But then again a Christian would know that so I can see why the concept has escaped you.

What's your problem, Anonymous? You object to the fact that my niece lives in America? Or you don't believe in God and have a need to make a fool of yourself?

Remember how they figured out that using sprays and appliances with CFCs contributed to the ozone hole? Well, it was true. The ozone layer is relatively thin and easy to destroy. It was not so hard to work this out using modern research technology.
So now all these hundreds of scientists dedicated all their time, knowledge, experience and determination to see if there was a link between global warming and human-produced carbon. And indeed they found a link. And now people like you, SL (with zero scientific expertise in these matters) are laughing in their face. So who are you calling arrogant??
Believe it or not, I am not one-sided in this matter. I accept the possibility that the current climate change is a natural occurence and that a false connection could have been made. However, anyone with any common sense would not take such risks and just keep polluting like crazy "in case the scientists are wrong". Because there is a chance that they are right after all.
What's more, this planet is not of infinite dimensions. Fossil fuels will run out one day. This is already one perfectly good reason to urgently search for energy alternatives, even if you don't believe in human-caused global warming. It's only common sense.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to live through a global crisis one day where the entire society collapses because it's unprepared for a lack of fossil fuels.

More scientists (credible ones) are turning their backs on Algore and his stupid theories every day. He doesn't even buy into it himself or he would have made changes in his own lifestyle!
As for me, I plan to incorporate solar and wind technology in a new house I just bought. I recycle. I make an effort not to be destructive or wasteful. There is a difference between being a good steward of the Earth and being a money-grubbing fraud like Algore and his "greenies."

Yes, and that's exactly the problem. Once we have sucked all the oil and coal out of the earth, what then?? Some believe this could already happen in 50 years' time. That's a scary thought.
I am not saying we should "over-burden" people and take drastic moves to destroy our current economy. I am just suggesting that a lot of money should be invested into research -- research to find alternative energy sources for the future generations. Research is always the key to progress.
That's fantastic! Keep doing that. If more people did things like that, our dependency on fossil fuels (and pollution) would be greatly reduced.

Just curious, EW... How much of your home is powered by "alternative methods" and how do you travel? Car or bicycle? Do you recycle? Do you do all the things that Algore demands of the rest of us but refuses to do himself?
