I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

What Doug Giles Really Thinks

February 1st 2009 13:15
Doug Giles is one of those people who speaks his mind. You never have to wonder what he means or what he really thinks. His column today leaves no doubt whatsoever!

I'm getting really tired of the term "bipartisanship" too and find it insane that anyone should want to be bipartisan. It generally means that a Republican compromises and a Democrat gets whatever they want. Thanks but no thanks! One of the reasons that John McCain lost the last election was that he had "crossed the aisle" and been a good "bipartisan" too many times. (Once was too many!)

Now the hero of "bipartisan politics", B.O. (B.S.), is complaining like crazy because Rush Limbaugh has the nerve to disagree with him and the Constitutional right as well. There goes that pesky Constitution again! Giving rights to all the people (even those who aren't devoted Democrats!) I wonder how long it will be before B.O. (B.S.) manages to put a stop to some of the more annoying aspects of that treasured document? The liberals have already taken away our right to Life. The Liberty part is on it's way out too, as soon as we lose the freedom of speech, religion and the right to bear arms (all of which B.O. plans to do, according to his own campaign promises). But look on the bright side, we'll still have the "pursuit of happiness" to fall back on, right? I met a man once who'd had brain surgery. He smiled all the time and mumbled happy little songs to himself. I guess you could say he was pursuing happiness... Lobotomy anyone?

Hey S.L. bipartisan means compromise, and one should never compromise their principles to please someone that has no principles.

That's a fact, Lester. If we compromise our principles, we're no better than liberals.
