A Few Trillion, Here and There
November 25th 2008 19:34
Do you realize that the Louisiana Purchase, the rebuilding of Eurpoe after World War Two, the first manned moon expedition, the New Deal, World War One, World Two and pretty much everything we've ever spent tax dollars on doesn't come close to the 4.6 trillion dollars that the "bailout" is costing? And this is going to fix the economy... right... in a pigs ear...
Let's just dump more taxpayer money on problems that could right themselves if given the opportunity. Iceland is having riots. China is having riots. We could have some, too, folks. The banking industry was destroyed by the Democrats, so we elected the same Democrats to "fix" it? Eurpoe is in chaos for the same financial crisis that is damaging us, and we're looking to them to "solve" it? How insane is that????
The same Democrats who whined incessantly about the cost of the War on Terror are now grabbing as much of your money as their grubby paws will hold. Money for the troops as they fight for freedom? Of course not. Money to bail out idiots that wasted their finances and behaved badly? Certainly. Gotta help them. Right...
As the national debt reaches higher and higher into the trillions, you B.O. voters better not complain. You elect a moron, you get a moron, deal with it.
The rest of us (who have functioning brains) don't have to like it because we didn't ask for it. We knew better. So gripe away, Democrats. It won't do you any good. Your votes are what caused it. While you're going without and knowing that your great grand children will be paying for it, just shut up and live with the consequences of your stupidity. You earned it. Every single miserable minute of it.
The rest of us are going to fight back and try to get your "Messiah" out of office in the next election. Maybe by then you'll either grow rudimentary brains or get sick of the insanity and want to have a country again, instead of a welfare state that considers communism to be the only way out. "Better red than dead" used to be the saying. Is it still?
