One More Critter...

I have cattle, chickens, dogs, a horse and a parakeet. Guess what wandered into my yard this morning? A little black kitten. I don't know where it came from, it's barely old enough to be weaned. It started following me around as I fed the livestock. It got up to the corral fence and took one look at Blackie before backing up as fast as it could!
My little dog is familiar with cats, having been around my daughter's two felines. The big dog has only seen cats at a distance... I make her stay outside with Yard Bird so the neighborhood predators don't get any ideas about chicken for lunch.
My niece was here and picked the kitten up for a minute. It seems well fed and was friendly, so it must have a home somewhere. If it wants to stay, that's O.K., it'll have to adapt to our lifestyle and behave itself. Sort of like immigrants, you know? Come to my place and obey the rules. I'm not going to lock Yard Bird up because a cat moves into the yard. I'm not going to hobble the horse so the kitten doesn't get stepped on. And my parakeet isn't going to have to worry about a feline giving him the evil eye. If the kitten wants to stay, I'll be glad to have it in the barn where it can reduce the mouse population for me.
Immigration is not a bad thing, folks. The kitten announced it's intentions to live here and I will welcome it. It can fill a purpose by dining on rodents. If it bothers the other inhabitants (like the chickens or parakeet) I'll boot it's little rear end out. I don't really expect the kitten to learn to speak dog or chicken or horse or cow or even human. And it won't have a vote on anything! But when you move to a new place, legally, it's always best to adapt to the new environment. If you want to live by the old rules of the place you left, go back there!

He lives three and half miles away from me they have lots of cats, and kittens this little creature stowed away in the horse trailer, when he left the kitten stayed with us, without us knowing it.
My little girl has been after me to get her a pony, well when she saw the kitten she fell instantly in love with it. It is a stumped tailed kitten bluish gray color with yellowish spots on it, its kinda cute.
I gave her the choice to kept the kitten or get a pony, well to my surprise, and joy she chose the kitty, this is her first kitty, she is so proud of it. My friend said she could keep it and if she wanted more she could have more, I politely said thank, no. My wife has never been a cat fan.

My niece told me she had never seen animals that get along the way mine do. Her dogs have to be in a kennel because they kill cats and chickens.
