For Clarification Purposes

July 26th 2008 15:17
I'm getting a little tired of being called names and being accused of saying things I didn't say (or were taken wrong). This isn't a "poor little victim" thing, folks. It's simply my effort to clarify what I've been saying all along.

"Feminism causes AIDS" is not something I ever said. What I did say is that feminism is so determined for equality that women now have increasing rates of HIV AIDS because of their "sexual freedom." Don't believe me, though. Look at the statistics of the number of women who have AIDS. Really Long Link and tell me that promiscuity doesn't lead to the disease! AIDS is contracted by sex and needles, folks. Not delivered by email! More women are having unprotected sex because they don't think they can catch AIDS and everything else that can go wrong can be cured by either anti-biotics or abortion.

"All women are whores who deserve to be raped." I never said that, either. Rape is a terrible, vicious crime that can happen to anyone (even males). What I did say was that being promiscuous and dressing like a hooker makes a woman more likely to be a victim of all kinds of rape, including date rape. Really Long Link Really Long Link The Green River Killer is one of many who targeted prostitutes or women he percieved to be prostitutes. Jack the Ripper was another. The Hillside Strangler was yet another. Going out and "looking for action", expecting to have sex with strangers for fun can get you much different results than you expect!

Abortion is murder and there have been plenty of pictures already displayed to prove it. The obviously dead babies say volumes and the Christian position has already been made quite clear. Really Long Link so I won't go into it here. You already know where I stand. The next link gives the statistics of which women kill their babies and their rationale for doing so. Really Long Link The last link should give you a glimpse into the lasting damages that abortion causes in the women who do it.
Really Long Link

Some of you consider my views "evil", "abhorrent", "insane", "out of touch with reality." Well, since the statistics seem to support my position that "feminism" has had a considerable effect on the ADIS epidemic, that women who appear to be prostitutes in either their dress or behavior can be the victims of rape and even worse because of the perception of the rapist, and that abortion isn't a convenient means of birth control for the lazy and promiscuous maybe I'm not the "ignorant, stupid, uneducated, extremist" after all.

Hey S.L. no matter what you say, the liberal nut cases will not open their eyes for fear of seeing how ignorant, and out of touch they really are. They know they don't have a let to stand on so they try to knock you down to their level.

I know what you said, and you shouldn't have to explain yourself to them. The Bible tells us not to cast our pearls before swine.

S.L. I don't really care who I offend here because they don't care who they offend, and hurt, they need a good dose of reality.

Maybe your standard of morals scares them, seeing they don't have very many.

Thanks, Lester. I guess I was just hoping there would be a spark of smarts somewhere in one of those liberal brains and they might understand something beyond their own agenda. But maybe their percieved safety lies in their imagined numbers and their hoped for freedom from Judgment. Like the old song went, "I can swear there ain't no Heaven, but I pray there ain't no Hell!" That seems to be their theme song, doesn't it?

hi S.L,

those statistics just say that 30% of new AIDS cases in the USA are women, it doesnt actually correlate the AIDS cases with whether they are promiscuous or whether they are Feminists
there are actual correlations between AIDS and income, race, drug use, and incarceration (i put the stats in a reply comment to you on my own blog)
just as an example, you could be a young black mother whos husband went to prison and contracted HIV and infected her and then she passes it on to her children

also there is no correlation between the way women dress and whether they will be raped

The National Crime Victimization Survey indicates that for 1992-1993, 92% of rapes were committed by known assailants.1 About half of all rapes and sexual assaults against women are committed by friends and acquaintances, and 26% are by intimate partners.1

Risk factors for perpetrating sexual violence include: early sexual experience (both forced and voluntary),6 adherence by men to sex role stereotyping,7,8 negative attitudes of men towards women,6,9,,10,11,12, alcohol consumption,8,13 acceptance of rape myths by men.8,9,12,14,15

that is from one of your links
the statistics do not back up your opinions
it is mens attitudes towards women that causes rapes, not anything the women do

Honestly, Morgan. Do you really think that feminists can't get AIDS? Is there some special protection that they have? Not every one of that 30% of female AIDS victims are faithful, young, black or with husbands who contracted the disease in prison. That was just a bit of a stretch, don't you think? It doesn't specify how many of the 30% got sick from sleeping around, so you are assuming that it was a very low per centage?

Admittedly not all rape victims are targeted by strangers. But some are and some of those are targeted because of the dress or behavior of the victim. The Green River Killer is only one example (but so is Jack the Ripper.) Does it matter whether or not you're a hooker if some freak thinks that you are and kills you anyway? My whole point is that it can happen, it does happen and what kind of a lunatic would put herself in the position of making it happen? A feminist, perhaps, who doesn't believe that her actions have consequences? Who has the more important "attitude" Morgan? The woman in a miniskirt who is flirting all over town and flaunting herself, even though she's only kidding, or a Green River Killer type who sees her and decides she's a prostitute? Does it matter?

I notice that you didn't say anything about the lingering effects that abortion has on the women who do it. Or that a fair per centage of women have multiple abortions. Do you not believe that?

There's a TV commercial on that reminds me of this whole discussion, Morgan. Two guys are camping in the wilds and one starts to rub himself down with a dead fish. He says, "Fish eat mosquitos so this should scare all the mosquitos away!" The other guy looks at him and replies, "Yeah. But bears love fish."

"AIDS activists would have us believe that catching HIV can happen to anybody at any time. This is only true if we carelessly opt to have promiscuous, unprotected and random sex with multiple partners or choose to make illegal drugs part of our life. The myth that anyone might be spontaneously infected with AIDS outside their own volition is systematically impossible" said Project 21 member Lisa Fritsch. "We bear within us the best preventative resource to fight contracting HIV and AIDS: free will and personal choice. AIDS is completely preventable in our community through our decision to be responsible with our bodies and our minds."

"Citing 2004 statistics, Moore wrote: "There are certain liberal behaviors that make it more likely one will be at risk of contracting AIDS. To the contrary, acting more conservative is more suitable to AIDS prevention. For example, abstinence from pre-marital sex, joining and holding sacred marriage unions and rejecting the use of illicit drugs dramatically decreases the chance one will be in a position to contract AIDS. Consequently, with the rapid spread of AIDS among African-Americans, the correct decision - choosing life - is to adopt a conservative lifestyle." The complete commentary is available online at Really Long Link

"So diseases like HIV only smolder in isolated populations because they lack the density of susceptible contacts. In crowded populations, the equation changes. In the case of STDs, the availability of multiple sexual contacts — perhaps accompanied by changing sexual mores — tips the scales. In any case, the major factor today in the spread of HIV is promiscuity, whether homosexual or heterosexual. "

Some feminists know how to be careful I'd recommend you to a site about safe sex which is designed by a feminist, but I'm not going to have HER handle YOU. She gets enough like you already.

Oh my god sleep disorders. I'm so scared, considering that I'm already an insomniac with a sleep disorder, and bi-polar, because abortion's REALLY going to screw me up.

You have no right to tell other women what they are or are not, especially when you know nothing about them. If you had actually bothered to take a look at my own writing here, you would've understood that I have dreams just like any other human.

I hate to disappoint you, but sex has nothing to do with my mental state. Isn't that amazing? WOW! Again, I hate to disappoint you, but I know quite a number of fourteen year olds and fifteen year olds who have had sex, and I know that it didn't hurt them, either.

For the last time, I hate to disappoint you, because every single last one of these girls has dreams and ambitions.

Why do you keep coming back to me when I'm just going to keep telling you to get counselling? And just FYI, Dianna, your hopes, dreams and aspirations didn't get you pregnant. Sex did.

Fabulous!!!! You know other 14 and 15 year old sluts that are just like you!!! WOWIE WOW!!! Aren't you special? You are SOOOOO cool, my golly I just can't imagine the pride you must be feeling!!!!!

What dreams and ambitions? To grow up a murderer? A prostitue? Or just another person who is no better than those kinds of filth--- which is it honey? Don't know huh? Uh-oh, you better think of something quick to respond with... hurry. I'll be counting the seconds for some other ignorant piece of trash to come from you. Time is running out little hootchie. Oh wait? Maybe you should take some "me time" and throw a temper tantrum or two til you feel better. Then come back to the adult discussion.

For all you who are rubbing your mits together just itching to defend this "14" year old rabble... I hope you enjoy my personal opinion of this situation. Now then, feel free to tell me I have no right to speak my opinion or feel the way I do about moronic, self-absorbed, murdering, whoring, piece of garbage like this one Dianna. After all you are all in favor of free speech right? This is nothing compared to the conservative bashing I have read from some of you hypocritical, slandering and absolutely loathesome idividuals.

I have been reading between this one and Brandon's all day, Sorry SL to have to say this on your blog but then you'd probably only be pissed at me cause you didn't get to say it first right? Again, sorry I probably created a shit storm for you to deal with but I have to leave now and will check back in a couple of days when I return. Seriously, being a Christian I have to try to be a good bit nicer about voicing my opinions (although some would say otherwise!)

Dianna is a very disturbed child who needs counselling. I doubt that yelling at her will do much to help her situation. Approving of her won't work, either. She obviously needs someone to care enough to tell ner "No" from time to time and try to steer her in the right direction. Or she wouldn't keep coming back to me. Maybe she'll think about things and improve her chances for a future.

"Unwed births have increased 83.8%, 63% of STD’s are from ages of 25 and below, HIV has increased 44% since 1989, and abortions have increased 67% since 1970. In addition, unwed births make up 27% of all births in the United States, which is 2.5 times higher than 20 years ago. Sexual decision making involves more than picking what color or flavor condom you will use when you have sex, but what values are important to you and what future consequences (social, psychological, emotional, and relational) you are aware of and prepared to deal with..."
"One has to wonder that in the name of public health, why condoms are promoted so vigorously when research from the New England Journal of Medicine (1987) showed that 17% of married couples who knew their spouse had HIV still transferred HIV to their partners when using condoms. The percentages increased to 30% over two years. One would imagine the failure rates being much larger for couples just dating or not aware that one of the partners has HIV. Research by Weller (1993) found that condoms are only 69% effective in preventing the transmission of HIV in heterosexual couples. Furthermore, medical science has informed us that the HIV virus is much smaller than the pores in any condom, however when contained in the larger red blood cells they cannot squeeze through these pores. Condom advocates should be asking if the HIV virus ever wanders around outside the red blood cells. If so, condoms may be 0% effective. Encouraging the use of and passing out condoms without fully educating the user seems almost immoral."

THEY DISPLAY WHAT THE RAPIST SAYS, THINKS FEELS ETC. VERY INTERESTING.

"Justification is common in the vast majority of sex offenders since it assists in allaying remorse and guilt for the acts committed. Scully and Marolla (1984), who interviewed 114 incarcerated rapists, explain five ways in which rapists commonly justify their behavior. They claim that the victim is a seductress, and she provoked the rape; women mean yes when they say no, or the victim did not resist enough to really mean no; most women relax and enjoy it, and they are actually fulfilling the woman’s desires; nice girls do not get raped, and prostitutes, hitchhikers and promiscuous women get what they deserve; and the rape was only a minor wrongdoing, so the
perpetrator is not really an “offender.”

July 27th 2008 04:49
hi S.L,

i never said Feminists cant get AIDS and i never said all cases of AIDS were black women, i simply gave you an example of a common occurance

once again the link you gave to CDC stats just stated the percentage of people who are infected with HIV due to heterosexual contact that is "high risk", if you read the notation they define "high risk" as sex with someone known to have the virus, it does not mean promiscuity

HIV/AIDS is contracted through unsafe sex not through promiscuity . . . you could get HIV from the first person you sleep with if they happen to be carrying the virus . . . if the man you choose to have sex with is young, black, poor, a drug-user, and spent some time in jail the chances of him having HIV goes up astronomically

Black women account for 66% of AIDS cases amongst all women in the USA

Per population black women are 21 times more likely to get AIDS than white women (Latinas are 5 times more likely than whites)

Black and Hispanic women represent 24% of all US women. However, women in these 2 groups account for 82% of new AIDS diagnoses in women

Heterosexual intercourse is the leading cause of transmission amongst women (73%) followed by injection drug use (24%)

About 76% of HIV infected women care for dependant children in their homes.

About 2% of HIV infected women who become pregnant pass the virus on to their children.

Proportion of new AIDS cases that are women:
1985 - 8%
1990 - 12%
1995 - 20%
2000 - 27%
2008 - 27%

There are about 1.2 millions people living with HIV/AIDS in the USA today and 300,000 of them are women.

Women who have HIV/AIDS are disproportionately low-income, 64% have annual incomes under $10,000

In 1996 it was found that 17% of all prison releasees were HIV positive. In 1997 it was confirmed that AIDS was 5.5 times higher amongst prisoners than in the general population. 11% of young black men and 4% of young hispanic men are incarcerated (compared to 1.5% of white men)

as for rape, it has nothing to do with looking attractive, rapists attack old ladies in nursing homes and children in school uniforms

also, looking like a prostitute isnt looking nice

i hardly think a young woman dressed up for a night of socialising even slightly resembles what a real prostitute looks like, hookers that stand on street corners dont look like julia roberts, they are usually unwashed and drug-addicted and are often have teeth missing and sores on their skin from on-going substance abuse

i think it is completely inappropriate to ever suggest that the victims of rape ever encouraged the attacks or were asking for it due to their appearance

i also dont think rape or AIDS are some kind of punishment for women that have abortions, so i dont really know why you are trying to tie the issues together when they are completely unrelated

Comment by S.L.

July 27th 2008 05:00
Since I was accused of saying things about both, I put them together. Did you read the Teen Aid.org link? Did you read what rapists themselves said about their victims? It's what they PERCIEVE that matters, Morgan! I have been trying, obviously unsuccessfully, to explain the relationship between promiscuity, rape, abortion and AIDS and for some reason you can't seem to grasp it. The person who added the long comment and the links was able to get the information and understand it, why can't you? It's just not that complicated.

Sex causes pregnancy. Sex causes AIDS. Feminism approves of unrestricted sex and "reproductive rights" and even encourages it, teaching it in college! Abstinance and monogamy are the best ways to avoid AIDS. Why do you find it so complicated?

Comment by Morgan Bell

July 27th 2008 06:20
frat boys think women enjoy being raped . . . that has absolutely nothing to do with the way women dress or whether they are Feminists

Feminists can be celibate if they choose, there is no rule saying you have to have indiscrimate sex to rally for womens rights

a woman can be as monogamous and faithful as she likes, she can even choose to marry, but if her partner is unfaithful or a drug-user or incarcerated it will not stop her from getting AIDS from him

what you need to stop AIDS is sex-ed, condoms, blood testing, affordable health care, and the right to choose if and when you have sex

tell me that promiscuity doesn't lead to the disease

Promiscuity doesn't lead to AIDS, coming into contact with the bodily fluids of that one person who is HIV positive does. You could sleep with a different person every day and not get it, or you could get it from your one life and sexual partner.

More women are having unprotected sex because they don't think they can catch AIDS

But AIDS has only been around since the 1980s, when the feminist movement had already made a lot of gains. I assume you mean since then...

Women are not the only ones who think they won't catch AIDS. A lot of men also believe that it won't happen to them.

Yes, there are some men who are more likely to target women who they see as dressed provocatively, but the risk isn't substantial enough to come close to discouraging women from dressing provocatively. Should women be afraid just because they feel like looking sexy? I don't think so.

Feminism approves of unrestricted sex and "reproductive rights" and even encourages it,

First of all, there are all kinds of feminisms out there, so much so that you can't generalise about it. Secondly, why *should* people restrict their sexual behaviour if they have access to contraception and pretty good knowledge of their sexual partners? That sounds like something a lot of feminists would do. I have never heard of a feminist who actually advocates unprotected sex (unless it's within a long-term relationship).

Hello Morgan, AIDS has been around long enough that everyone should be aware of it by now. Lack of sex-ed is no excuse, condoms don't always work, and as I said before, it is the PERCEPTION of the rapist that often causes the rape. Getting drunk at a frat party and "strutting your stuff" should negate the rape charge.

Hello postmoderncritic. And thank you for making my point so clearly! "Why should people restrict their sexual behavior..." makes it perfectly clear that morality is not part of the feminist agenda. You are a feminist, right? And about having access to contraception, some people get so enthusiastic about being spontaneous that they forget to use it. Also, female birth control measures can fail and do not protect against HIV AIDS (as their TV commercials make a point of telling you), while even condoms are not 100% effective in either contraception or disease prevention. So having unrestricted sex still comes with a potentially fatal downside and feminism still approves of it.

even condoms are not 100% effective in either contraception or disease prevention.

Yes, but at 98-99% effectiveness the odds are looking pretty darn good.

"Why should people restrict their sexual behavior..." makes it perfectly clear that morality is not part of the feminist agenda.

Since when is the pursuit of pleasure immoral? It's not like you're hurting anyone.

And yes, I am a feminist, but you're still generalising about 'the feminist agenda' in a way that befuddles me. There is no one feminist agenda. Every feminist has their own agenda. I suggest you leave feminism out of it altogether.

Me (postmoderncritic) again -

Crossing the street is potentially lethal. Oh sure, the chances you'll get run over are slim, but they are totally there. And women do it more frequently now that they spend less time at home being all domestic. So you could argue that feminism increases female risk of roadside death. But why would you? Why, S.L., would you say that feminism leads to promiscuity leads to death if not unfounded paranoia? There is some risk involved, sure, but if you use a contraceptive such as the pill or condoms to guard against pregnancy and/or STDs, very slim is the chance that it will let you down. So what are your reasons for associating unrestricted sexual behaviour for women with destruction? It sounds like you've been listening to old-fashioned misogynists who seek to control womens' sexuality and make sure it doesn't threaten a man's. I understand that sometimes you want to be approved of - but self-approval is far more satisfying when you realise that those 'mentors' are perverted creeps who aren't interested in your happiness at all, but imposing their own paranoia upon you, and hence justifying it.

I know you can do better than that.

PERCEPTION of the rapist that often causes the rape. Getting drunk at a frat party and "strutting your stuff" should negate the rape charge.

So in other words, women who get drunk and/or strut their stuff deserve to get raped?

So how dare you claim that I have been lying about you when that is exactly what I have been saying?

Way to absolve the rapist of all responsibility.

Way to try and set women back hundreds of years.
