The Morning After Chatter

Did you watch the debate last night? I did! While interesting, it wasn't loaded with surprises or shockers. Sarah Palin spoke clearly and made her points very well, looking at the audience much more often that at her notes. She was able to use humor to advantage in many of her answers.
Joe Biden on the other hand teared up at one point ( imagine if she had done that!) and spent most of his time checking his notes. He told 14 verified lies Really Long Link which was no surprise at all.
In spite of the best efforts of the liberals to make her look bad, she came shining through like a beacon through Bidens clouds of deception. She proved beyond any doubt that she is equal to the job of Vice President (and President if necessary).
Biden got a taste of his feet when he said that he hadn't changed at all during his 35 years in the Senate, and immediately called himself a candidate for change! He said he was now in favor of clean coal, contradicting his previous stance against it and biting another toenail in the process. Biden also proved that he knows nothing about the Constitution with a couple of misplaced articles (either that or he couldn't read the notes and mistook a 1 for a 2).
From the audience responses I've been hearing, Sarah Palin won the debate in a big way with undecided voters and even some Democrats. She confirmed for the rest of us that she can handle whatever comes up.

Angry Electorate
I do give Biden credit for keeping his inner smart aleck in check. I'm sure it took a lot of restraint, but he was wise to avoid his normal condescending tone. He was still a little smug and smirky, but he did manage to avoid the obvious gaffes he is known for. He did tell a lot of lies, though. Unfortunately, we can't count on the media to challenge him on those statements.
