Catch it if You Can...?

There is an on-going battle of words on another blog Really Long Link in which I have been participating. It concerns the Bible, Christians and abortion. When prompted by another commentor about how promiscuity is acceptable and abortion is the way for an easy fix for the consaquences, I couldn't help myself. Instead of sticking to the subject of abortion alone, I brought up the other consequence of sleeping around. AIDS.
My cousin was a faithful wife and mother who needed a blood transfusion before anyone knew what AIDS was all about. It took a few years, but she wasted away and died far too young. She didn't ask for the terrible disease to ravage and kill her. She did nothing to cause her infection. Nobody knew about AIDS back then.
But that was THEN and this is NOW. Anyone who thinks that using condoms, most of the time, can keep you from being infected is making a fatal mistake. There are some people so incredibly ignorant that they think the only consequence of having sex is pregnancy, and that an abortion "doctor" can solve the problem, and they're completely insane!
Even those of you who don't believe in God or the Bible must surely know that sex outside of marriage can cause a mountain of problems. Just look at Bill Clinton or any number of politicians who've been caught with their pants down. They'll tell you it isn't easy to deal with. Or you could go to an AIDS ward and ask the dying people if the sexual thrills they had were worth it. Ask Magic Johnson? Dig Rock Hudson up and ask him?
Passing yourself around like a party tray is against the Bible (and Gods law) for a reason, folks! Penicillin can cure some diseases, abortionists can kill your babies, but there ain't no cure for AIDS. Maybe keeping your pants on outside of marriage isn't such a dumb idea, huh?
