Powerful Stuff!

The Governor of Georgia came up with a novel approach to end the drought that had plagued his state for several years. Their water supply was getting low and the crops were dying. People were getting desperate. So he went against all the PC crappola and held a prayer service on the steps of the State Capitol! Good thing he didn't try to do it in a school, huh? The ACLU would have had him in jail.
Sean Hannity talked about this yesterday and got a large number of calls and emails from people who were horrified and offended by such a terrible crime (as prayer) being perpetrated by a state governor. After all, they said, he was forcing his religion on the innocent citizens of Georgia and that's a crime! "Separation of church and state" was cited.
He didn't force anyone to join any church. He didn't make the prayer service compulsary. No one was arrested for not attending. He didn't use the opportunity to promote insurrection (like some Imams do in their mosques... without any consequences). He arranged the gathering and prayer service for the sole purpose of asking God to end the drought.
There were probably some people who were surprised when it rained the following day...
There may be some who'll call it "coincidence" or even say he knew the rain was expected in advance and used the opportunity to further his religion. The service was planned well ahead of time and he couldn't be sure it would rain even if a possibliity of it had been predicted.
The simple fact is that they prayed and the rain came. Take that, you athiests!

S.L. nice post, prayer does change things, I have seen the power of pray change situations that man could never do.
This is just my personal belief, but atheist, and liberals don't want any religion except for radical Islam that is at war with mainly with Christianity, and Judaism.
