The Convoluted Thinking of Some People
December 28th 2008 01:02
I've been having a conversation with Howard, from Real Crash. Really Long Link
We seem to be on opposing sides of the international confusion argument. So let me tell you what I really think.
There are many people who believe that Pres. Bush was involved in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 (there are also those who believe he and Dick Cheney personally blew up the Ponchitrain levies because they hate black people). Neither one holds an ounce of water (yes, pun intended).
It seems that a common notion is that we need to use "international support" to recover from the financial mess caused by ACORN and the Democrats. Sounds all nice and "one worldy" doesn't it? Sort of like the UN on steroids (or Viagra)... But let's look at the reality, shall we?
Has the UN ever actually done anything of real value? It takes money from us (and everyone else) and wastes it on finery for it's "diplomats." Brand new limo's, refurbished town houses, travel expenses, etc. are all paid for by the USA. In return, the UN Sec. General is able to assist us with nothing. If Russia wants to claim that we aren't good on "civil rights" they investigate us. They demand more money for all their pet projects while also taking billions from despots and terrorist nations. They expect us to pay out the wazoo for abortions all over the world. They demand that we acceed to "environmental issues" like the banning of DDT (which was responsible for millions of deaths from malaria) because of a stupid book that has long since been proven as foolish as Glo-bull Whatever. They expect us to contribute to the "fight against AIDS" while doing nothing themselves. (Pres. Bush has given more of our taxpayers money to fight AIDS than anyone else in the world has ever done, by the way!) but they refuse to teach abstinance, preferring abortion as the prime method of population control. (Don't they know how AIDS is transmitted?) The UN refuses to intercede where they might be able to stop the slaughter of innocents, Rwanda leaps to mind. But they do interfere at times when their "diplomats and troops" can get away with stealing food from starving people, while raping and pillaging at will.
Forget the UN and what it's interests are. They want power, position and money, while contributing exactly nothing to the general welfare of anyone else on Earth. If Algore isn't careful, all his hard "earned" "Carbon credits" will be going into UN pockets instead of his own.
Remember when Bill (the Zipper) Clinton sold military technology to China? They can now effectively target us, thanks to him! And where did North Korea, India and Pakistan get their nuclear technology, pray tell? Maybe from Russia after the USSR fell apart? Isn't that where Iran is getting much of theirs? And Venezuela, and Cuba, for that matter? Pres. Bush mentioned the "Axis of Evil" in one of his speeches. Who did he name? Iran, Iraq and North Korea! Russia didn't want us to go after Iraq and now they have freedom and their own Constitution, and will soon be able to run and protect their own country. The new "Axis of Evil" seems to be Iran, Venezuela and well, pick another country or two (or three). All of whom are supported by Russia. Did I forget Cuba? No I didn't...
There are those who believe that we can align ourselves with any or all of these countries to repair our financial troubles. Are they insane???? Russia invaded Georgia, for goodness sakes and all B.O. did was tell Georgia to not over-react. Is that what he'll say when Venezuela invades Mexico? Or when North Korea attacks South Korea again? Or when India and Pakistan fire at one another with nukes? Or when former KGB agents target the Pentagon computers (oh, yeah, they already did that a few weeks ago, didn't they?) Or when Iran, in the name of Islam destroys Israel and takes over the Middle East?
We're walking a tightrope here, folks. If we tilt a little to the wrong side we'll fall about a hundred stories and the United States Of America will becoma a footnote in the re-written history that the socialist regimes might allow in their text books. There will be no mention of how free we once were or how prosperous or how we saved the world from facism and communism. It will be a tiny paragraph that gives our name and that we failed as a country while socialism and Islam were so successful. There will be no referrence to how voter apathy and foolishness caused it. No mention of what problems brought about our demise. Just that freedom doesn't work and that all religions but Islam are bad.
That's what will happen if we allow other countries to control our financial survival. We can do this alone while keeping our sovereignty and holding off those who would destroy us.

And for the UN they are a bunch of free loading dimwits, that need to go back to where ever they come from and leave the US alone. I still say the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.
And when does making nice with enemies make any sense anyway. If you play with snakes you will get bit, and trying to work with our enemies will not get us anywhere but destroyed.
