McCain and the NY Times
February 21st 2008 14:17
O.K., so who says that John McCain had an affair? Who dropped the story for the NY Times to pick up? Obama's camp? He looks to be the dem candidate... could he be so desperate already that he has to smear his opponent? Or could the "news" have come from Hillary?
Philandering and infidelity have become "resume enhancing" details for all the libs/dems since Bill (the Zipper) was in office. Ted Kennedy has made a lifetime career of getting re-elected with such behavior. Jesse Jackson is still a "hero" to millions of libs/dems even after he was caught with his pants down. And so it goes, only Republican candidates are held to any standards of behavior, because only Republican candidates have any standards, right?
I'm not a McCain fan, by any stretch, but I can't help wondering whether the "affair" was just a little something tossed out to see if it would fly, or if it was intended to make him look bad, or if it might have been intended to make him more "human and acceptable" to the libs/dems.
Whatever the reason, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
