Christian Children's Fund

Here's something that amazes and disgusts me. The Christian Children's Fund has dealt itself a serious blow by trying to be politically correct. It's dropping the word "Christian" in order to appeal to people who aren't likely to donate anyway.
I guess they haven't figured out that people make donations to organizations they trust. The United Jewish Appeal and Catholic Charities get donations because of their specific names. The Red Cross and Salvation Army get donations because of their names. People send money to help specific groups, usually because those groups represent their beliefs and are well known for spending the money wisely to maximize it's value.
According to open tax records, you'll notice that Democrats make extremely small donations to very specific groups. Even those who pretend to be Christians don't give much to charity. On the other hand, Christians/ Republicans tend to be very generous when it comes to charitable donations. The Christian Children's Fund used to be among those charities that collected large amounts of money, partly because of the name and partly because it did a good job.
Perhaps donations are down? Let's see, how could that have happened? Oh, that's right, we elected a Democrat who plans to tax us to death. People don't have enough to support their families, much less make large donations to charity, because of Democrats. Democrats hate religion. Democrats don't make very big donations. So what does the Christian Children's Fund do to solve the problem? They remove the word "Christian" in order to pander to people who aren't going to do anything for them to begin with.
Well, folks, they'll never get another penny of my money...

It really annoys me when Christian charities change their names so that they don't appear Christian anymore. For a start, it gives the impression that being a Christian organisation is something to be ashamed of. Secondly, by keeping a Christian name, it reminds people that they are a Christian charity and that Christians are out there in the world doing good deeds. Also, I think the name is an important reminder to the people in that charity of why they are doing what they do.
