Tolerance, Whining and Bull Dookey
April 24th 2009 12:29
I'm getting really fed up with the "tolerance" trash! O.K. I don't want to outlaw all religions other than my own. I don't want to force anyone to believe what I believe. But it's getting beyond ridiculous when a few whining jerks can force their will on others.
A snotty, smug little weasel of a man is representing 9 (NINE) whining parents and students who are "horrified" that the graduation ceremony is being held in the same church where it has always been held. The school doesn't have a big enough facility for the graduation and the church does. The ceremony is not religious in nature and none of the graduates or their families are forced to attend the church on a regular basis. But the whiners are demanding that all religious symbols be covered up during the graduation.
I have a better idea. How about if the 9 (NINE) whiners have their graduation ceremony somewhere more appropriate for their personalities? The local garbage dump leaps to mind! They can swat flies and hold their noses as the complaining students and their parents get the diplomas and strut their stuff. If they're so offended, they can have their own ceremonies, right? If they want to make a career of being "offended" by everything, they really need to find a better place for their complaints. A nice communist country might make them happy. They'd never have to be "offended" by religion. Of course, if anything else bothered them, like having no rights for example, they could just shut up and deal with it, right?
When was it written that a few whiners could have the power to make everyone else obey them? When did we get to the point of handing over our rights and backing down to keep from "offending" people who make a career of being "offended" by everything?

It would be interesting to see the number of people who would complain if the graduation ceremony was held in a mosque.

What makes me mad are the whining weasels who suddenly find offense in things and squawk their empty heads off.

I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday about environmentalists. And although we both care about the environment and think people need to speak up about it, it does seem sometimes like they just complain for the sake of complaining. And I think a lot of groups do the same thing. They need to find something to remind us all that they're still around.
