I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

So Easily Offended...

December 20th 2007 12:12
Here we go again, folks. NBC is claiming that Mike Huckabee's Christmas greeting commercial is "offensive" to some of their viewers (maybe all 10, who knows?) He dares to use the "forbidden" term, "Merry Christmas" in his greeting! What nerve!! Of course, they aren't the least bit offended by the Hillary ad, where she's placing cards on packages beneath her tree. The package tags each have a new big money spending item on them. Boy, that's offensive to me! Talk about commercializing Christmas!

It always amazes me how easily some people are "offended." I found 9/11 to be very offensive. Danny Pearl (and others) being beheaded on camera was terribly offensive. Car bombings that kill innocent civilians offend the dickens out of me, too. Politicians ( mostly libs/dems) offend me with their new taxes, entitlements, and waffling.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm not the only one offended by these things. However, you don't hear much about these, do you? So far, the mainstream media has managed to cover Ad-Nauseum the Muslims and lib/dems complaints about being "offended" by the use of "Merry Christmas" in referrence to Dec. 25th.

Impressive priorities they have, don't ya think?

Hey S.L. The mainstream Media is run by Atheist, and Liberals. That's why Fox News is increasing, and they are decreasing.

I can't stand to watch NBC, ABC, CBS, or CNN, they make me feel like an alien in this country.

I gave up on the mainstream media a long time ago, Lester. I only watch network news if it's local (for the weather report). Fox is rapidly taking over all the time slots and the others are losing ground very quickly. If they tried using real journalism, telling both sides, instead of shoving their liberal bias at their viewers, maybe they'd be in better shape. But they don't seem to be that smart...

S.L. It would be a blessing if all the mainstream media just we to liberal talk shows, because they are already headed that way.

S.L. I am going to stop responding to anyone that is not brave enough to show their real name, I just don't like talking to People that like to stay Anonymous

Yeah, it's ridiculous. A CHRISTIAN wishes voters a Merry CHRISTMAS in a nation made up of an overwhelming majority of CHRISTIANS before a federal holiday named CHRISTMAS. How utterly shocking!! Oh, the oppression!! How did we ever wind up in a theocracy?

Morons.

Frankly, I'm glad this is happening. It's pointing out the true bigots in our media. I can mark them off my viewing list when they reveal their "outrage".

Well said Lester and PopCon!! I agree wholeheartedly! The mainstream media is showing their colors for all to see. An responding to anyone who isn't brave enough to throw insults while using their own name isn't worth the effort.

Hate to agree with you but I don't have to like you nor your views to agree with your occasional sensible viewpoint.

Everything you cite as being offensive to you, I find offensive too.

...but what I really find offensive is your hypocrisy.

Why is it that when something is done to or against your 'kind', it's offensive...but when your 'kind' instigate the offense...then what?

Please note, 'kind' in this instance is not a synonym for 'countrymen'.

Are you seriously expecting anyone to believe that you and the people like you who stand for whatever it is that you stand for, are innocent of offending others?

Are you seriously that insular that you cannot see that it takes 2 hands to clap?

Please rewrite this to read:
If they tried using real facts, telling both sides, instead of shoving their bias at their viewers, maybe they'd be in better shape. But they don't seem to be that smart...
