I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Armstrong Williams and Some Interesting Quotes

October 1st 2008 13:35
Like many people, I was under the impression that feminism has been one of the most destructive forces in our society. But Armstrong Williams has set me straight on a thing or two. Original feminism wasn't as outright bad and nasty as the "feminism" of today. In fact the original feminists would be horrified and disgusted by what their ideas have been warped and twisted into. But that's what happens when an idea is high jacked by liberals.

Think about it folks. Racial equality was a great idea (and still is!) but after the liberals turned it into their "cause" we have a different form of racism that they are hanging onto with a death-grip. Welfare, the breakdown of black families, Ebonics instead of English, Affirmative Action, I could go on, but you get the idea.

I think the main problem is that the liberal view of "equality" and the conservative view of "equality" are completely different things. Conservatives want everyone to have equal opportunities to succeed, while realizing that not everyone is exactly alike. Success comes in different forms. Success for some people is making millions of dollars while for others it is being good at their job. Society needs people in all lines of work and incomes tend to depend on what line of work one goes into. Conservatives like to reward success.

The liberal philosophy, on the other hand, wants absolute "equality." I know it sounds nice, like many liberal ideas. But underneath the high sounding words lies the truth. Since not everyone is going to become a millionaire, the liberals want everyone to be equally poor. Financial success is punished by high taxes which are redistributed to those who aren't financially successful (and aren't likely to be). Their "fair share" of someone else's money is just enough for minimal survival. Semantics plays a big role in liberalism, too. For example illegal aliens are financially supported by using the new term "undocumented Americans." And then they're given their "fair share" of other people's money, too.

The differences are quite clear. One party wants to encourage and reward success and the other only celebrates and rewards failure. My conclusion is that no good idea is safe in the hands of liberals. What's yours?

Hey S.L. that was nicely said, I have two sons they look very much alike, and at school sometimes they get mistaken for each other. But also they both are very different in what they think and do. I cannot treat them as they are the same, I don't treat one better than the other, but they each have different needs.

That's the way our country is, we all have different needs, but one can't not be treated better than the other, and we cannot take from one and give to another, but we can teach them to get it for themselves.

That only applies to Citizens of the United States of American. We don't need to be calling illegal aliens undocumented Americans, they are not Americans, they are illegals, and the last time I checked that meant breaking the law, but if Jim reads this, and I am wrong he will set me straight.

LOL, Lester. You're absolutely right. Illegal does mean breaking the law. But I'm sure Jim will find a pretty liberal spin to put on it! He may not come here to do it, though. I hear he writes opposing posts to mine sometimes. Probably because he knows I won't go to his place to set him straight... LOL

Hey S.L. he does, and I go to his sometimes to give my differing point of view. But with all honesty I like Jim, and enjoy reading his different point of view just to keep up with what the other side has to say and what they think.

He has a lot of information on a variety of subjects, Lester. But he doesn't process it quite right (pun intended). I lost respect for him when he started sounding so anti-Semetic and called him on it. We haven't gotten along very well since then. He manages to bash me every chance he gets and occasionally shows up here to try to get me to read what he writes. I quit biting on his hook a long time ago.

When I want to know what the opposition thinks, I turn on MSNBC! LOL

Hey S.L. Jim loves to listen to Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, and in spouses their point of view.

He probably likes Bill Maher, too. And Michael Moore movies. And any other ultra-libs who hate America. That's why I don't waste my time reading him, Lester. But if you enjoy his stuff, I certainly have no problem with it. Keep speaking your mind and maybe you can change his!!

Someone told me he says I'm afraid of him. LOL I'm about as afraid of Jim Stillman as I am of what my Chihuahua leaves in the back yard! LOL

I know he mentions our names in a few of his post and comments, I don't think likes our political views. I like leaving my conservative point of view with him, and I get to see a few of his friends get upset with me. I like having fun with them, but the sad part is that they are serious.

Yes, Lester, he and they are very serious. They stoop to name calling, lying and all the other liberal escapes. I get enough irritation from the likes of them on my own blog. No need to go looking for it on theirs.
