A Permanent Nightmare?
October 11th 2008 14:38
Did you ever have one of those nightmares where some nameless terror was creeping up behind you? It gets closer and closer and your feet are stuck, you can't escape. The footsteps come nearer and get louder. Your breath catches in your throat, you can feel your heartbeat, pounding like a jack hammer. Somewhere, through the terror, you know that if you turn around and face the creature, it might go away. If you can just look it in the face, stand up to it, you might have a chance. Shaking like a leaf, you try to turn, determined to face it down, even if you can't escape...
When I have such a nightmare, folks, and manage to turn enough to identify the terror and put a name on it... what I find, lurking in the shadows, creeping up on me... is President Barack Hussein Obama, followed by his minions (complete with polished horns and sharpened pitchforks) Nasty Pelosi, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barbra Streisand and a host of others, swarming like flies, ready to devour the whole country.
My Pappy would have been 100 years old on Nov. 5th, 2008. I hope I don't wake up on his birthday morning to find that the nightmare has come true.
