I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. Pro-Abortion People of Faith?

July 20th 2008 17:50
In keeping with his newly "found" "beliefs" and long held phoniness, Barack Hussein Obama has a new "religious" guru of sorts. She is a Pentacostal minister who approves of abortion. The link below will tell you more about her and her "faith". Apparently in his efforts to sway Christians and conservatives who believe that life is sacred, Obama has found a perfect spokeperson to entice the "foolish faithful" with another hipocrite as grand as he, himself, is.

Could anyone possibly be dumb enough to fall for this new line of bull-dookey? Looks like it, according to recent polling numbers, he seems to be gaining ground with people who should know better. I can't help but wonder if she'll suggest that he needs the same "surgery" Jesse Jackson mentioned because he spoke of responsibility? After all, she seems to think that responsibility is highly overrated, abortion being her favorite way of avoiding it.

Lord, SL, have you no sense of responsibility? You have misquoted the lady's experience, role and beliefs. It cannot be a matter of chance that you are always posting stuff that is inaccurate and misleading.

I do not question your interpretation of facts; you may spin in circles if that's your choice; you, on the other hand are lazy and careless in your research!

Why not put a modicum of effort before mouthing off? Without accuracy, your sarcasm is just mean-spirited.

So sorry, Jim, if your tender sensibilities are offended! So the "Pentacostal minister" isn't a female? Or she isn't in favor of abortion? Or she doesn't support the Democrat ticket which is in direct opposition to her religion? Or maybe she's too liberal for the "centrist" Barack Obama? Was I in error? If she (as others who approve of abortion) doesn't have low regard for responsibility, I saw nothing about it in the article I linked. The one time Obama does something decent (as in agreeing with Bill Cosby about illigetimacy) Jesse Jackson wants to have him "gelded." Did I misunderstand what he said? Was he perhaps referring to coconuts? Or almonds? Perhaps walnuts? It's all the same thing Jim. Either you keep the zipper up and she keeps her legs crossed (responsibility) or you just have loads of fun and kill the resulting babies rather than behave like human adults and raise the kids you bring forth.

Do you need a dictionary? Or is English clear enough for you to understand? Maybe you just don't understand religion? It means a faith in God and a belief in morality beyond the convenience of the moment, Jim. She is abandoning her religion to be a good Democrat as far too many of them do.

These things make me shudder, I am becoming less and less convinced that Obama is fit to represent the US, and I think the other side could have done better, too.

Obama has fallen from his charismatic charm into the well of uncertainty.

I am not convinced, but then again I'm not from the US so will have no input into the end result, things, economically, seem to be worse than they are portrayed and that is not good.

I like your concept of responsibility, it is all too often swept under the carpet as not even deserving of a mention.

Yes, trousers zipped and legs crossed, would alleviate this horrendous path of killing our own children.

My shuddering continues.

Thanks for the comment Katyzzz. Yes, we could do a whole lot better for candidates. One of the precepts of Christianity (and most other religions that deserve the term) is personal responsibility. Every time a church or church leader comes out for abortion, it convinces me that their "religion" isn't real. Obama has only very recently started speaking of personal responsibility and saying he isn't in favor of all abortions. Previously, he thought that killing babies on their way out of the birth canal was fine. The man is a liar, a hipocrite and very dangerous for America and the rest of the world. The thought of my country electing him to any office sickens me.

Hey S.L. I can only speak for myself, and a minister I could never support any party that supports murder of unborn Children. I could never support any party that supports gay marriage. I could never support a party that supports taking every symbol of Christianity out of the public.

I could never support a party that supports getting rid of morals that Christianity holds so dear. My next statement will probably make a lot of dems mad at me. I don't see how a Christian could support the democratic party.

If this woman supports abortion she is not a Christian minister in my opinion, nor in the eyes of God.

Jeez, S.L. Just read your response to Jim. You seem really angry!

I totally sympathize with the confusion that everyone is feeling right now in terms of the election. McCain has flipped and flopped his way all over the map, and Obama doesn't necessarily appeal to the people who would vote Republican, if it weren't McCain on the ticket.

In terms of this pastor and the abortion stance, I guess I would just say it this way...I am a Christian (please don't question that. You don't know me) I am personally against abortion. I would never have one. HOWEVER, there is clearly not a moral consensus on abortion in the United States, so how can it be banned if the debate still rages on, and both sides are equally passionate.

It leaves Americans with this. If there isn't a consensus, which is what laws are based upon, then there should be no restriction. If you are not in favor of restricting a woman's right to choose, it doesn't mean that you are pro-abortion. While there is a radical and irresponsible few who would use abortion as a form of birth control...most people don't take it lightly. And those who would take the abortion without serious consideration would probably end up having it by some other means, were it not legal.

I am pro-choice, because I know that my morality is not the same as everyone else, and I can pray for those who are in the midst of making the decision, that they make the right one. However, I can't make it for them.

Or she doesn't support the Democrat ticket which is in direct opposition to her religion?

I don't get that. I never will. How can the Dems be in "direct opposition" to her religion? When you read the New Testament, please tell me how many times you see the word "abortion". And tell me how many times Jesus talks about homosexuality. Now, count how many times Jesus mentions taking care of the poor, the less fortunate, the hungry, and the sick.

No, sir. I don't think it is the Dems who are in direct opposition to Christianity.

The last paragraph of my comment I guess is directed at Lester as well.

I was ok with you saying that she isn't a Christian in your eyes, but what qualifies you to determine what God sees? For someone who likes to talk about what is right and wrong according to the Gospel, I am surprised that you would make a statement like that.

Hi Lester! Thanks for the comment!

Natalie 2, you asked what qualifies me? Uh... the fact that I can read, maybe? I've read the Bible, but I can't give you every Chapter and verse that says abortion is murder and that gay marriage is wrong. Lester or Truth B. Told would be much better at finding the exact wording that you seem to want. Really Long Link Really Long Link

Read what they have to say and feel free to ask questions of your own. Personally, I have known several women who murdered their children and without exception, they pretended it was a terrible "choice" to be "forced to make". They also were absolutely gleeful at getting rid of their responsibility. It's been my experience that any female who can kill her baby before it's born has no problem with any other wrongdoing.

It's nice that you don't want to kill your children, Natalie 2, but if a crime against humanity doesn't bother you enough to stand up against it, maybe you should rethink your position. Some things are always wrong. Owning slaves, genocide, and the slaughter of millions of innocent babies. Jesus said "Suffer the little children to come unto me." He never said "go ahead and kill them if you find them inconvenient."

"All Americans, all people, have values," said Daughtry, a fifth-generation minister. "For some of us, values come from faith. For others it comes from what your parents taught you, what your grandmother taught you on the porch in the summertime. These are values that make us Democrats. We all have them."

L O L

When I first got involved with politics, how you felt about economic justice issues, a fair shake for the working man or woman or how the nation conducted its foreign policy matters is what made you a Democrat, not your wishy washy committment to a non-committal porridge of sludge containing bits and pieces of whatevers expedient to use while inventing a political theology to justy one's political leanings.

THis gal's just full of baloney. Oh man, that show in Denver's gonna be a rockhead mountain lowdown. Are they sure they want it to be public? What's trickling out sure looks as if McCain hired somebody like the younger G.Gordon Liddy or preconversion Chuck Colson to invent to make the other guys look stupid.

As a Democrat I'd love to say "amusing" and just wipe my hands of it all, but it's too damn embarrassing to ignore, hard as I try doing.

Hey S.L. the bible speaks to women like this to love their husband, and to love their children, not kill their children that what it says in the New Testament.

People want to argue over words, but the bible is plain on the murder is sin in the Old Testament, and it is sin in the New Testament. They think if they word it different it will change the meaning, but the meaning will not change in the eyes of God.

You're right, Anonymous, being a Democrat today would be terribly embarassing! Of course, it isn't such a big thrill to be a Republican at times, either!! lol

Thank you, Lester!
