New Gun Control Measures
July 12th 2011 01:25
I heard a few words on the news, as I was leaving my house tonight, about B.O. (B.S.) planning to give another long winded speech tomorrow. It seems he has decided we need stricter gun control and will be signing it into law soon. Guess it's too much trouble to bother with all that "Constitutional stuff" and put it through the proper legislative channels.

I don't think he has the backing to do much people are not so blinded by his swelling words anymore since they see them as pretty much worthless.

I am a gun owner, member of the NRA, have my CC permit, etc. Personally I do not have any issue with the scope of the regulations I have seen outlined in the media at this point. Really, how many people make a habit of buying multiple semi automatic, extended magazine capacity, weapons at one time or within a short period of time?
My concern is this was done by bureaucratic edict and not by Congress and the Constitutional route. I do not think the regulation is legal. The regulation is a prime example of why I do not trust the self-generating, empire building bureaucracy of the Federal Government.
"Fast and Furious" goes all the way to the oval office and the timing of this effort is principally to defuse the sting coming when the Congressional investigation is completed.
