One More Disgrace (among many)
November 5th 2008 12:39
I just heard that John Murtha, the poster boy for troop bashing as well as living proof that we desperately need term limits, has been re-elected. That's an even more disgusting atrocity than electing Obama. After all we know how bad Murtha is. (And B.O. hasn't proved yet to some of you how bad he can get). He almost accepted a bribe from an FBI agent pretending to be a criminal (and never did report it as an honest man would have done). No consequences for that, folks. He wasn't prosecuted and still got re-elected afterwards.
Then there was the troop bashing. He basically convicted the Haditha Marines of cold blooded murder and never apologized when they were found "Not Guilty." He's being sued by some of those Marines. It seems that didn't matter to his constituents when they voted.
Scooter Libby was prosecuted and convicted for something that never even happened. But for Democrats like John Murtha there never seem to be and consequences for bad behavior.

Angry Electorate
* While sickened that Ted Stevens is close to winning, I hope he does win -- and then gets replaced. The GOP needs that Senate seat.
* I was upset that Don Young (R-AK) appears to have won. He is the kind of representative that demoralizes conservatives and hurts the GOP's image.
* I was glad to see Tim Mahoney (D-FL) lose. He replaced the despicable, page-chasing, hypocritical Republican two years ago, but was disgustingly immoral in his own right. Man, what is wrong with that district that this is what they produce?
* I HATED to see Lou Barletta lose. He narrowly lost in a heavy-D district, but he lost. Lou was/is a champion on the issue of illegal immigration.
* I was glad to see Sheriff Joe Arpaio win BIG. He is the toughest sheriff in America. I wish every town had one. His opponents HATE him. He is a hero, though.
* I was glad to see Prop 8 pass in Cali (apparently it passed). I thought Cali was hopelessly liberal. Maybe there are signs of hope in Sodom after all.
* I'm glad that Al Franken will likely not win in MN. Hopefully, Coleman pulls it out. Franken is a vulgar lout.
* I was glad to see Michelle Bachman (R-MN) win. The GOP pulled their support after Chris Matthews tricked her into call Obama anti-American and the media tried to run her out of the House on a rail. They failed. And shame on the GOP for abandoning her.
Those were some of the noteworthy races/votes for me.

There are dark days ahead, PopCon. They should have booted Murtha right to the curb with Franken (stein).
