Happy Mother's Day

I'm off for a day with the kids. My daughter is making a cake with a recipe that's been in our family since before my Pappy was born (100 years ago in Nov.) and there probably won't be a crumb left by the time we get finished with it! As usual!

This will be LGJ's last Mother's Day as a child, and she's doing something special for her mom. It should be a really great day!

For all the Mommies out there, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

Maybe the pro-choicers should have a holiday, too. Like Happy Almost Mother's Day. The abortion doctors could send little cards to all their clients. Thanking them for killing their babies. Maybe the asshole boyfriends who fathered the babies could send thank you (for killing my kid) cards to the women. What a charming idea. Anybody want to be the first to get it going?

Political Certainty
I'm sorry that the previous comments chose to go back to the advocacy of one political and cultural viewpoint. It was out of place. Like so many complex and controversial issues, one cannot reduce these matters to a black-white simplistic resolution.

But my real point is to join you in wishing mothers everywhere gratitude and, from my point of view, awe. I know that I couldn't do the job that my wife does, raising 4 children and a grandchild, working, picking up from a very messy husband, etc.
