Maverick, John McCain?
March 27th 2008 14:47
I was listening to the radio yesterday and heard exerpts from a sppech by John McCain. I guess it was the one he gave yesterday. Wish I could have been home to watch it on TV, but I wound up having to do a little travelling instead.
Every time he speaks, Candidate McCain sounds less presidential to me. He's beginning to echo all the same silly, empty rhetoric that make the libs/dems so hard to believe. Granted, he hasn't confessed to being involved in any nefarious behavior (yet) and he hasn't publicly announced that he's switching parties (yet), but he's starting to make my skin crawl.
He seems to think we need the approval of the rest of the world for everything we do, even here at home. He is getting on the Glo-bull Warming/Cooling/Climate Change bandwagon (which must delight Algore!) and even mentioning the Kyoto Accords with deference. His policies will be like McCain/Feingold, McCain/Kennedy and McCain/Lieberman. Crossing the aisle has become very popular with Republicans, especially McCain. When was the last time a Democrat crossed the aisle (except to throw a verbal punch)?
Granted, Joe Lieberman is the exception. He quit the Democrat party to become an Independent and won his Senate seat in spite of the Dem lobby against him. Lieberman being in favor of the War on Terror and National Security is a big change from the rest of his former party. But in every other aspect, he's remained a liberal. Not so with John McCain.
McCain was never (at least as far as I know) a very serious conservative. His liberal tendencies have continued to bubble to the surface like swamp gas. The more he talks, the more nervous I become when imagining him sitting in the Oval Office. Not quite as nervous as thinking of Clinton or Obama in that same chair, of course... but very nearly! At least there's a chance that McCain will get a decent Vice-President... with the other two it isn't possible.
And to think I used to like the Three Stooges...

You are so predictable and rigid; how in god's name did you ever relax enough to conceive? Immaculate conception or the three stooges? Politically, you're going to get what you deserve, a Hillary - Obama democratic president and vpresident. Would you like to make a wager on the issue? Enjoy.
Love the name calling and blustering; would you like some new vitriol to spew? The old stuff is wearing thin, unlike your waistline. You are such a playful buffoon.

This post wasn't edited, by the way. If you have the original, you can see it for yourself (when you learn to read and comprehend English.)
