I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

What Obama Really Knew (and when he knew it)

March 17th 2008 14:15
In spite of his denials that Rev. Wright had ever engaged in racist hate-speech in his presence, Barak Obama knew all along. Apparently his "sermons" are what caused Oprah to leave his congregation...

Really Long Link

Obama seems to think that firing Wright from his campaign and referring to him as "former pastor" will make this go away. He knew what Wright was preaching and lied about it. What else is he lying about, folks? His agreement with Wright, perhaps? If you can't trust the candidate, why would you vote for him?

Politicians are alwayslike this, they know something but pretend not to. Like how George Bush knew all along that Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11...

Anonymous, you never change, do you? No matter what happens, you try to find a way to make President Bush look bad. It's really getting boring...

you try to find a way to make President Bush look bad

I hope he's not trying too hard

Well, hello again, Brenton. Don't you find it odd that some people try to invent crimes to make the president look bad while merrily ignoring the behaviour of candidates for the same office? I would think people would like to know the caliber of those who are running, wouldn't you? Rather than continually beating a stump and expecting it to move?

I just feel ity's easy enough to find something against bush without making it all up.

And no i don't find Obama squeky clean, but i'd still feel him to be the best option by a long shot.

O.K., Brenton. You seem to like Obama. Why? Give me a few VALID reasons why he should get elected.

I just feel he's got the ability to lead, to inspire and to set a positive mood for the country. Politically he seems intellegent, competent.

Good answer, Brenton. If you'd tried to cite any experience he has, you wouldn't have gotten very far. His only noteworthy vote was to prevent surviving aborted babies from being allowed medical treatment. His only other noteworthy act was to sign a letter written by Harry Reid (D-NV) verbally assaulting an American citizen. It's forbidden in the Constitution for a politician to use his position to damage a citizen that way. He does seem to inspire people with "hope" (nice word, but nebulous) and "change" (but what changes he never specifies.) He was involved in a land deal with a man now on trial for criminal conduct. His "pastor" is a well-known racist and verbal opponent of everything about America. He supposedly quit the "church" but won't fully denounce what his "pastor" has been saying for years. Instead, he denies knowing anything about it, while admitting that the "pastor" can get "a little rough at times."

He served in the Illinois state senate before being elected to the US Senate at the begining of this term. In short, he has no experience whatsoever, has plenty of ultra liberal ideas (like Hillary on both counts) and hasn't been honest during his campaign. He's an eloquent speaker, unless you're trying to find substance in his flowery words.

If you're planning to hire someone to work for you, don't you want someone who has enough experience to do the job? Would you, Brenton, hire someone to repair your car if he'd never held a tool or worked on an engine before? Would you hire a carpenter to build your home if his only qualification was a year of "wood shop" in high school? And there are (apparently) people in the US who think that he can govern America with no background or experience? It's a little scary, isn't it?
