I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Something Rush Had to Say This Morning

November 22nd 2008 01:03
While B.O. is busily bashing "big business" and finding new and innovatives to make "the rich pay their fair share", there's something the rest of us need to think about. A Canadian company who owns ski resorts in Colorado had announced they'll be closing some of them for the winter... due to fewer of the "rich" folks giving them business.

Good thing, right? Let the "rich" give up some of their skiing vacations and stay home like the rest of us, right? Think about it for a few minutes, folks. Who works at those resorts? More rich people? No, mostly much lower paid employees who will no longer have their jobs, that's who. Are we "punishing the rich" when the pricey stores and resorts have to close? No, we're punishing the people who used to work there!

And how about the Big Car Companies with their private jet-setting CEO's? Are we really "punishing them" when they announce plant closures? No, they'll collect their big, fat bonuses no matter what else happens. But the employees of those plpants will be losing their jobs just in time for Christmas. How nice is that? Will the union pay their bills? Will they be able to find new jobs and support their families now that the stock market is dropping like a lump of lead into a bucket of dirty water? Maybe... maybe not... but who in the new administration gives a rats behind about what the "little people" have to go through? The "little people" who aren't yet on welfare, but who want to work for a living and support their families.

Oh yeah, B.O. let's make the "rich" pay out the wazoo, the middle class pay more taxes and the poor continue to be poor with no recovery in sight. Now there's some great new Changes to Hope for, huh?

You know S.L. I love it when a good plan comes together, but looks like B.O.'s plan is going to blow up in the face of America.

Why is it if say bad things about gays, or minorities it hate speech. racial profiling is consider a bad thing, but seems like the rich are getting bad mouth, and harassed.

When they stop spending their money and taxes dry up who will pay for B.O.'S big spending plans then, it takes money to make money.

As with most of his "policies", Lester, B.O. hasn't given a thought to any of his ridiculous ideas' consequenses. Have you noticed that, aside from naming his Clintonesque cabinet, B.O. has been sort of "absent" lately? He resigned from the Senate a little early so he wouldn't have to actually do any business before the inauguration. Maybe someone should have explained to him that, as president, he won't have the luxury of voting "Present" and doing nothing.
