I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

The Smartest Move He Ever Made!

August 29th 2008 15:15
When Barack Obama didn't choose Hillary as his running mate, he lost a huge bloc of female voters. Many of them are still undecided and many are not pro-abortion. He had a chance to place the first female Vice President on the ticket and screwed up (in their eyes). So John McCain has picked up that dropped ball and done something right for a change.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is the Republican Vice Presidential pick!! She is a conservative in the finest tradition and will add greatly to the appeal for the Republican base. Her youngest child was born with Down Syndrome and she didn't kill the baby as any "good" liberal would have. She has five kids and considerably more experience than Obama could ever hope for. She is the only person on either ticket who is NOT a sitting US Senator.

When Obama, with his "message of change" selected a long time Washington insider, Joe Biden to be his running mate, it disgusted all those who have brains and know how to use them. Picking a career Washington politician as a running mate was probably the dumbest thing Obama could have done. Big surprise, huh?

Sarah Palin brings many things to the McCain ticket. She's a female, pro-life, has been a governor and is definitely not a Washington insider. She is much a "maverick" as McCain wants to be. The polls tomorrow should be very interesting, indeed!

I just think that the choice is funny. I'm not pro or con yet, but I dealt with some of the symbolism of Sarah and Todd Palin (Sarah and Todd the Eskimo).

I think the next spoof is of Ricky Nelson's 1950s hit "Yeah, I'm a Travelin' Man."

S.L., you've dug your grave now my friend. Don't you realize you just dissed the smartest guy to walk on water in 2,000 years?

What do we know? We're not smart enough to realize that the elitists know everything. Just like the Wizard of Oz who didn't realize it takes more than screens and projected imagery to keep the game going.

Damn, maybe we just didn't wonk out enough in our school years; you, me, McCain, Palin, Lieberman and a lot of other people these "intellectual" gasbags ruining the once-proud party of FDR, HST, LBJ and HHH.

Hmm, I wonder if they recall who HHH was?

Sarah Palin will be one of the biggest surprises since Harry Truman, and he had to deal with a lot of baggage that wasn't his to begin with. But she won't have to deal with any bitchy baggage left behind by Hillary who left the stage with class and dignity; a far cry from the cold and tactless recognition of her historic choice displayed today by Obama who at best gave Palin a backhanded contratulations by saying she was "compelling."

To paraphrase the Wizard of Ooze or Oprah, he isn't obligated to vote for her or sing praises of where they disagree on, but he at least owed her the courtesy of acknowledging the fact she's the first woman in the GOP to be nominated for Vice Preisident. She's more than a "compelling" choice.

I can just hear this hypocrite whining if somebody diss'd Michelle in such fashion. We could all hear the big baby.
