Got 'er Done! Mostly...

Well, the trip wasn't too bad, all things considered. The bird and little dog mostly slept and the big dog mostly threw up all over the back seat. We only had bad weather once and got stuck in a lengthy road closure at the same time. All things considered it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Almost everything has gone well since we arrived.
Due to an office error, my internet, TV and phone weren't connected until yesterday. The radio reception isn't great and I'm a quart low on news. But there have been plenty of things I wanted to write about from the news I was able to get! In fact that's how today will be spent, posting and going through several hundred emails.
The new house is great! Several people were concerned that I was crazy enough to buy a house, sight unseen, but it was a good decision. The main garage needs some roof work and the chicken yard needs re-fencing. We created a big front yard for the dogs and are in the process of cross fencing the rest of the property before getting the horses or planting the gardens and orchard. My husband will get home just in time to help with some of the projects.
It's great to be settled in and ready to write again!
