Our borders are far more expensive than we realize, folks. It would be cheaper to build the fence and man it with guards than to allow this flood of illegals to keep seeping in. While the libs/dems are raging about the cost of the War on Terror, they don't seem to have much to say about the war for our borders.
Here's a quote from "Human Events" that gives specifics about the actual price of keeping our borders open and porous. Amnesty won't solve this problem, folks. New "plans" for a different version of amnesty won't, either. If illegals can be located to pay their bills, they can be located to be deported, too. Resfusing services to illegals worked in Oklahoma and it can work on a national scale as well.
The one factor not mentioned in the "Human Events" article is the illegal alien criminals. They break our laws first by coming here illegally, then they commit crimes from robbery to drug dealing with a degree of impunity until they're ultimately arrested. What happens after the trial and conviction? They serve a tiny portion of their sentences and are sent back home! It probably takes some of them a few weeks to return and restart their crime sprees. This "revolving door" policy is great for them and disastrous for the rest of us.
