I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Heroes and Good News Ignored

October 26th 2007 01:33
Anybody remember World War Two? Audie Murphy was the most decorated hero of the greatest generation. Everyone knew his name and gave him appropriate honors. He was wounded while calling in artillary to attack the advancing enemy soldiers. For his bravery he got the Congressional Medal of Honor. He deserved it!

Recently, a Navy Seal, also with the last name of Murphy, was awarded the Medal of Honor for a similar act of courage. He went into the line of fire to call for help, made the call and died from enemy fire. President Bush gave the Medal to Murphy's family and thanked them for their hero. Funny how little mainstream press the ceremony got, isn't it? Funny how a hero died to save others and is being ignored, don't ya think?

Last week, there were NO CASUALTIES in Iraq. You'd think the mainstream media might have noticed, wouldn't you? I mean, they were "johnny on the spot" when the casualty list was mounting... But their silence is deaffening lately. Couldn't be that they favor the liberal agenda of "lose at all costs", could it? The surge worked, folks! Factions of Iraqis are working together for a change and fighting the terrorists. They're standing up on their own behalf! ABC, NBC, CBS and their pathetic cable minions don't want you to know about it. Try watching Fox News Channel and get the facts!

When our media ignores heroes and plays down success, you have to wonder why...

Yikes! You mean the main stream media is dominated by Lib / Dem's? When did that happen? Why didn't I get a memo. Oh, because I listen to both sides to make an informed opinion I guess. That must piss off the left wing. If it doesn't go their way, the right wing is always wrong.
Good post SL.

You can almost see the tendrils of smoke curling from the anchors ears when they have to report positive news from the war! lol This morning I caught a one-liner that amazed me, too. "Planes sat on the runway while fires raged!" was the lead in. The morons are trying to blame Bush for the Calif. fires now! Those planes couldn't fly in 100 mph winds, by the way. It's getting downright comical, watching them try to drag defeat from the jaws of victory. lmao
