Company's Comin'!
October 5th 2008 11:38
A friend of mine (that I haven't seen for a couple of years) is coming to visit today.Like many of my best friends, he is under 30 and very good looking. If you don't believe me, his name is Arrol Blaze and you can find him on MySpace.
He's looking for a change and just sort of "poking around" til he finds a better place to be. When I heard he was coming, it only took an hour or so to find him a place of his own (if he wants it) and a job (to keep him out of trouble!) I'm hoping he'll settle here at least for awhile and get a recording contract with a friend of mine who owns a studio.
Like too many people of his generation, Arrol has been fed a steady diet of liberalism since he was too young to know better. His politics are the product of public schools and the mentality that came out of the drug infested 60's. Although we haven't had a chance to talk much lately, it's a pretty fair bet that he's planning to vote for Obama and probably thinks the bailout was a good thing. I hope to have enough time to find out where he stands and try to aim him in the right direction (yes, of course! Pun intended!!)
He'll be here early this morning, after being up all night. Since this is Sunday, I'll be going to church and maybe he'll want to come along. I found this new energy drink that should keep him wide awake if he does! (The drink is something else! But I'll save it for another post.) At any rate, I don't know what the day will have in store, but it should be interesting.
Have a great Sunday, folks!
