hate/love/crime?

A black woman was murdered at her job. The killer was a racist. Her employers have taken advantage of the ridiculous "hate crime" laws to get out of paying benefits that are owed to her children. Isn't that just charming, folks? Do you think it mattered to her one bit who was killing her? He could have been green and pink striped, could have worn flowers in his hair, or could have been a member of the Black Panthers! She is just as dead. "Hate crime" legislation is designed to give extra protection (supposedly) to the victims of crimes that are racially based or committed by homophobes. What a CROCK!

If some crimes are "hate crimes" are all the other acts of violence "love crimes?" This is just one more example of an incredibly stupid liberal "feel good" idea that has backfired. Now the family of an innocent woman gets to pay for it. Again. What ever happened to wrong being wrong? Oh, that's right, I forgot... liberals happened to it...

Round Politics

Hey S.L. I can't figure out how one murder could be called a hate crime, and others not called a hate crime. Murder is murder, and crime is crime no matter what the reason. You're right this is a stupid law, and now the facts prove it.

The Political Brief

For some reason, Lester, the liberals have to take something as clear and simple as "Thou shalt not kill" and turn it into shades of their favorite color, gray. It isn't possible anymore to have serious differences with some one, get in a fight and see who wins. Then shake hands afterwards. Now it's a matter of skin color, sexual orientation and lawyers. If a straight, white guy gets killed it's murder and the killer may get a few years. If a gay is killed or a black person is the victim of a white criminal, look out! Automatic "hate crime" no matter what the reality. As with all liberal ideas, this one is just begging for more abuses.
