I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Graduates of 2010

March 14th 2010 20:25
Another squeaking wheel is being greased, folks. Now, after a graduating class voted to have a prayer, one sorry critter complained and it was immediately forbidden. What do you suppose would happen if a class voted for a Muslim prayer for their graduation (besides being praised for their toleration and diversity)? Now suppose one student objected. Considering how considerate and tolerant Muslims are to begin with, I'm pretty sure they'd be terribly offended. The Muslim (shariah) penalty for offending a Muslim is death. Think I'm kidding? How about van Gogh, the film maker who was killed? Or the Danish cartoonist who now lives in fear? Or the Swedish cartoonist? At best, the student who dared to complain would be suspended or expelled or forbidden to attend the graduation at all. Maybe the chronic malcontents pick on Judeo Christian religions because it's safe, huh? We don't have jihads.

Do these dingbats actually believe they can stop traditions or kill religions by making noise and complaining? Look, if they don't want to hear a prayer, they can ignore it... they can wear earplugs... they can play whatever music they like in their headphones during the prayer... they can shut up and leave everyone else alone... or they might just stay home and pout.

First they tried to mess up Christmas and Easter for the rest of us. That was bad enough, but it's only two days a year (VERY important days!) and it was allowed to slide. Christmas pageants and parades were either renamed or canceled so as not to offend anyone, while offending Christians as much as possible, of course. Now it's graduations and Senior Proms. What's next? Will the only (admitted) Muslim on Congress suddenly demand an end to the opening prayers?

The "fearless leader" of the bunch of miscreants, B.O. (B.S.) doesn't approve of the National prayer Breakfast. He says his family doesn't exchange gifts at Christmas. And he plans to spend Easter with his fellow Muslims in Indonesia rather than have to come up with yet another excuse for avoiding or ignoring traditional holidays. Maybe his teleprompter is getting tired of the excuses... especially the ones about why he doesn't attend church (while saying publicly that he's a Christian). Last Christmas he had a Mao Tse Tung ornament on the White House Christmas tree. Maybe next year he'll be honest and hang Mohammed ornaments, calling it a Ramadan tree.

This infectious hatred of Christianity and attempts to erase it from our history is going to keep getting worse as long as the White House is occupied by it's present residents. Maybe, by the time he finally leaves, real history will be taught again and we'll get our country back. Maybe by then the squeaky wheels will be quiet, when it doesn't gain them anything but disdain. We can always hope... and pray.

Hi S.L.! I hope you're not offended if I don't comment too much on this blog post specifically. I think you and I decided long ago that we agree to disagree on most political issues. That said, I've been away from Orble for some time and I was happy to see you're still keeping up with your writing... and I wanted to pop in and say hello to you! I hope that all is well with you and your family!

Hi S.L. as a Christian, I am offended when someone interferes with my right to free speech, and freedom of religion.

There are more Christians in the United States than any other religion, and I believe it to be the religion of the land.

So if a person is offended by a Christian prayer I think they should move to another country as remedy. This is America and if they don't like it let them move to Iran.

And my prayer is that Obama, his staff, and his supporters, the ACLU, and their supports would move to Iran, they deserve one another. Oh yeah and take the liberal in congress with them.

Maybe they could "escape" to their version of Utopia the way Cubans have to escape to freedom, Lester. In a small, leaky boat.
