The good, the bad and the ugly have been on display this past year, in the world, the country and in my own life. May 2012 be filled with more of the good and less of the bad and the ugly.

Round Politics
Happy New Year everyone. Or is that just wishful thinking? I think we all need a good healthy dose of optimism.

Before that happens we need a change in leadership in the White House and Senate.

I came across a very interest sign a few days ago, which read.

25 years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Bob Hope.

Now we have Obama, no Cash, and no Hope.

I like that sign, Lester! Both funny and accurate, at least politically.

We do need a dose of optimism, though, and we need it badly. My hope is that God will use even the worst circumstances to work His will. And our present circumstances are about as "worst" as they can get.

A note to anonymous ... spamming a blog comment section is just plain rude. I would never consider checking out the link. Anonymous must be one of those OWS types and still a bit wet behind the ears.

SL ... I know we do not necessarily agree on a lot of the political stuff but I enjoy what you write and what you choose to send along via personal email. Please continue during 2012. I suspect it is going to be a very interesting year.

The Political Brief
There's an old Chinese curse, Rick, "May you live in interesting times." I have a feeling someone aimed it at this country (and the rest of the world as well). The coming year promises to be interesting, indeed. Keeping up with it may prove to be quite a task, but let's do our best.
