Bill Richardson Backs Out
January 4th 2009 20:42
It's no secret that I'm a conservative. It's also no secret that I like Bill Richardson. I was hoping he would be the Democrat candidate for president. His qualifications are 10000 times better than B.O. (B.S.), Hillary, or anyone else they could have elected. If we absolutely had to get stuck with a Democrat in the Oval Office, I would much rather it had been Bill Richardson. He is a real person, with real opinions and real experience, unlike the others in the pack of liberal loonies that were running. So what happened? They "chose" the least qualified, most erratic, totally unprincipled jerk they could find... just because he was half black. Remind me again about how the race card was not played...
So, what does B.O. (B.S.) use to fill his "cabinet"? Recycles from the previous failed administrations and other people almost as unqualified and ignorant as himself. His idea of "change" is to keep using the same people who weren't competant previously. Except for Bill Richardson. The only appointee with any actual real-world experience and he makes him Commerce Sec. Not Ambassador to Anywhere (which he has already done during the Clinton years). And now, just short of the swearing in ceremonies, Richardson backs out.
According to the reports I've heard, it has something to do with the current NM Governor being investigated, so he stepped down to keep B.O. from being embarrassed. (Like anything could embarrass an illegal alien criminal... right...) B.O.'s own behavior and "connections" didn't put him to shame (as they should have) but Richardson steps down and walks away.
I could be wrong, but I have this little inkling that Bill Richardson finally understood what sort of a stuffed shirt he would be working for and couldn't deal with it. I know it would be hard for me to work for someone who was unprepared to be a "boss" and didn't have a clue about how to run a business. Promoting incompetence instead of experience is a pretty good indicator. Bill Richardson should be glad he figured things out before getting into the quicksand of the incoming administration. If he really is being investigated by the FBI, they may have saved his political life.

Angry Electorate
I read, though, that BO knew about the Richardson investigation for a while. So the big question is this: Why did he nominate Richardson when he KNEW there was an ongoing investigation? Good call there, Baracky.

There are plenty of good people Mr. Obama (as you like to call it) has chosen who are pros. compared to junior, it is night and day.
BTW, nothing wrong with being a conservative....just be fair and realistic.
Happy new year.

How, exactly, do you figure that Gov. Richardson being involved in a scandal would "divert attention" from the new Criminal in Chief? Richardson is not an illegal alien. He was not involved in the profiteering from ACORN as they wiped out the American financial system. He didn't vote for the bailout that tanked our economy (although, being a Democrat, he probably supported it). He doesn't have any long-time friends who were terrorists. His pastor of 20 years didn't curse this country from the pulpit, did he? As far as I know he hasn't been involved with any slumlord criminals and profitted from their crimes. He certainly has more than 143 days of experience (which makes him many times more qualified than his "boss" would have been.)
As for B.O. (B.S.) surrounding himself with good people... where? Political hacks and inexperienced, unqualified "good people?" If you're referring to Pres. Bush as "junior", that isn't correct. He isn't a "junior." As for the difference between "day and night", I agree. We will be facing sundown on Jan. 20, 2009. I just hope that by 2012 we can have a dawn.
