Court of Appeals
January 10th 2008 16:16
I spent yesterday in San Francisco with my daughter. We attended the appeal hearing of a monster. The best thing the defense could offer was a ridiculous notion that a conversation that never happened was what should cause a mistrial. It's been 21 years, folks! A conversation that was never reported in the press, and denied by the two people who supposedly did the talking and listening was dragged up after all this time to attempt to convince the Court of Appeals that the cold-blooded serial killer deserved another trial. The killer's new lawyer is determined to forget the victims and save the monster to further her own agenda. I'm beginning to believe that the original attorney engineered this confusion to make sure there was something to dredge up for an appeal. He certainly couldn't use the evidence for an appeal.
In case you don't know much about me or why a cold case such as this might be getting my attention... The third victim of this monster was my 15 year old daughter. He kidnapped, raped and strangled her exactly a week after her 15th birthday. The second victim was 18 and the first was 21. There may have been others, but he was never charged with more than the three. He has been on Death Row, San Quentin since 1987. With the "moratotium" on the "cruel and unusual" aspect of the death penalty, he's still very much alive and well, even after all these years. Uh... the victims are STILL DEAD!
We attended the hearing so the Supreme Court would know that there were still victims in the case and that their surviving family members still cared. We were the only ones there for the victims. There were a few other people in the gallery, who gave us dirty looks from time to time, but I'm not sure who they were. Maybe the monster has a new girlfriend (there are plenty of serial killer groupies out there and they're all INSANE!)
For those of you who can't bring yourselves to take my word for this, by all means, look it up. People vs. Rundle (David) S012943 (California Court of Appeals, Jan. 9, 2007) If, by any chance, anything comes of his appeal, you'll be hearing about it in the media... because I will not let this slide! If they release him, HE WILL KILL AGAIN!!
And for anyone who doesn't think I'm right... well... up yours. I wanted to be absolutely sure he was guilty and if I thought for one second there was any chance he wasn't, I'd be the first one to demand a retrial. But he confessed in detail and led them to the (very well hidden) body of the second victim. His own mother testified that the blanket he used to wrap the clothing of the second victim was one she gave him a few days before the murder. There was no DNA evidence back then, and the victims were too decomposed for even traces to have been useful (if it had even been possible...). There was no doubt then, nor is there now.
21 years on Death Row haven't made him any nicer, folks. If he ever manages to be released, he WILL kill again. He'll just try to be a little more careful and not get caught. And pretty little girls are his favorite target. As long as he's breathing, there'll always be the possibility that some moron will take pity on him and allow him to go free. He recieved the death penalty from the jury that convicted him of murder and he should receive it. 21 years is way too long to wait.

As for you, tlcorbin, you can call it vengeance if it pleases you. Wanting to make sure a monster doesn't get the chance to kill your daughter, doesn't seem like vengeance to me. It seems like common sense. It's not my job to forgive monsters... God can forgive whoever He wants... that's His job. Mine is to keep Rundle from killing again. If you can't handle that, you really need HELP. Soon!

Just because she wants this monster to stay in jail where he belongs is not a sin, a person that commits a crime should have to pay the price what ever the law deems fair, and just.
Every person that has wives, and daughters should be thankful that S.L. is trying to keep him where he belongs.
S.L. someone that has never gone though a tragedy such as you have will never know the pain. They don't understand that it's not vengeance, but Justice that you seek.
God says vengeance is mine I will repay.

She hypocritically supports a man who has, despite the protests of the victim herself, released a rapist who has gone on to rape and kill again.
