I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Here's a link to Fred Thompson's most recent speech. I had mixed emotions when reading it, and perhaps you will, too. On the one hand, it's a great speech! On the other hand, he's not in the running anymore...

If Fred, or Mike Huckabee or Duncan Hunter or Alan Keyes had been the nominee, this coming election would be a far different one for all of us. The voting would be done with wide smiles instead of gritted teeth.

Maybe we'll get really, really lucky and one of the aforementioned gentlemen will be on the ticket with John McCain. Any one of them would be fine with me!

Hey S.L. I agree, Mike Huckabee, and Fred thompson were my two first choices. I don't think Alan Keyes got enough exposure from the media, I like his politics.

Fred and Duncan Hunter were my two top choices. Hunter was a long shot, but I thought Fred had a chance. He just never got the ball rolling, though. I was really disappointed when he dropped out.

Hi Lester and PopCon! Yep, we had some really good candidates... to begin with... There were just so many dems/libs that "crossed party lines" to vote for McCain, it was all but sewn up much too quickly. He won't be getting their votes in Nov. Seems like the libs/dems thought he was the easiest one to beat and made sure he wound up in their sights.
