"Because I Just Like Him..."

Those were the words a dear friend of mine used on the phone last night to explain why she plans to vote for Obama. She isn't on the internet and has only been watching the mainstream media. We talked for an hour and a half. It took that long to tell her all the things she didn't know about Barack Hussein Obama. She didn't know anything about ACORN, what they do, or how his association with them has affected his politics. She didn't know about his terrorist friends. She hadn't heard that he likes abortion so much he approves of abortion survivors being killed. She didn't know about his version (and Rev. Wright's) of Christianity. She didn't know that he thinks there are 57 states in the Union. She didn't know that he turned his back on wounded troops when he couldn't get a photo op out of it. She didn't know about his connection to Tony Rezko (the convicted criminal). She hadn't heard about Saul Alinsky and that Obama calls him his hero. She likes the way he gives speeches (while not knowing he's using a telepromtper to read someone else's words.) She didn't know that the same people who put on the Hollywood fund raiser for him held a party of Ahmadinejad right afterwards. She knew very little about Ahmadinejad, in fact. What she thought she knew was that all the bad things said about Obama were invented to make him look bad. Is it any wonder so many people are being fooled so easily?
I asked her what the rest of her family thought. She laughed and said they were all voting for McCain, but that she just didn't like him much. I asked her how she felt about Sarah Palin, and she said she does like her. She knew almost nothing about Biden, so I enlightened her. At the end of the conversation she agreed that she needed more information before election day. She said she'd start watching Fox News Channel so she could hear both sides of the issues instead of being spoon fed by the liberal media.
That has to be the reason he's getting any votes at all. He's the media darling and they keep his multitude of flaws quiet. Those quiet flaws will be screaming from the roof tops if we're crazy enough to elect him.
