I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. The Coming of "Fairness"

November 22nd 2008 21:40
"Imposition of some form of the Fairness Doctrine likely will be one of the Democrats' agenda items for the first 100 days of the new administration. It's important that conservatives begin working now to stop it. Waiting until Inauguration Day to get geared up is too late. By that time the Fairness Doctrine Express will be at full steam- wavering Democrats will be pressed to support the new Democratic president, weak-kneed Republicans will want to display comity, the mainstream media will not be saddened to see talk radio annihilated and much of the public will be too enraptured by Obama's Camelot inauguration to notice or care."

- Peter Kirsanow, National Review Online

If you doubt that B.O. and the other libs want to silence opposition, don't. Liberal talk radio is a dismal failure. Conservative talk radio has huge audiences and makes billions every year. Freedom of Speech is guaranteed in our Constitution, folks. Not someone's idea of "fairness." If the Constitution matters to you, pay attention now, before it's too late. Today it's my rights, tomorrow it could be yours. Don't let B.O. kill the Constitution! If you do, it'll come around and bite your backside off one day. Trust me!

Comment by Lester Caudill

Hey S.L. I have no doubt that the fairness doctrine is coming, but Bill O'Reilly has a interesting take on it.

He seems to think that it would affected public TV as well like some of the liberal show on PBS, and Cable as well. If that is the case and the link can be made. Then MSNBC is in trouble, so is the rest of the liberal news stations out there.

If any actual "fairness" were involved Lester that would be right. But since the liberal media is going after conservatives specifically, they'll be able to get away with a few token "Republicans" and continue to operate. MSNBC is owned by NBC which makes big bucks and can afford to indulge themselves. PBS is run by the government and can find ways around following the law (as they always do). Talk radio (conservative, at least) is a business for profit. If they have to give equal time to liberals (that nobody wants to hear anyway) they'll lose money and give up on talk radio. That's what the Democrats have in mind! Fox News Channel makes a big point of presenting both sides equally, so they may be safe for a time.
