I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. New Stem Cell Research Technique

January 14th 2008 12:54
I heard on the news last weekend that there is a new technique for extracting embryonic stem cells. Apparently someone figured out that killing the "fertitized eggs" isn't necessary in removing enough material for their research. Maybe eventually someone will realize that embryonic stem cells don't need to be removed at all...

It never fails to amaze me that scientists and the pro-abortion crowd keep trying to justify the "need" for their failed "research." What part of "doesn't work" don't they understand? Embryonic stem cells cause brain tumors in lab rodents. Period. They have NOT, can NOT and WILL NOT ever cure a disease or repair nerve damage. The pro-abortion crowd is devoted to embryonic stem cell research, thinking that it adds to the myth that abortion isn't wrong. Using aborted babies for "research" makes it seem more acceptable (they think.)

The truth of the matter is that ADULT stem cells do work. The ones from the patient himself are actually the best. 13 boys from Brazil were cured of diabetes by using their own stem cells. In laboratory testing, adult stem cells have shown great promise. Unfortunately that little fact is usually ignored by the mainstream media. Wouldn't you think that a serious potential cure for a wide variety of ailments would merit more publicity? Of course not... adult stem cells don't in any way support abortion.

Hey S.L.

Abortion is murder of unborn children. There is a law that states if you harm a pregnant woman and it causes the loss of her baby you can be charged with murder.

Why doesn't this apply to the unborn aborted fetuses of about 4000 every day in America. I wonder if Hillary or John Edward's wife when they were pregnant ever consider an abortion.

I would say no because deep down they know it is murder, but to get votes, and just maybe to hold down the population they support abortion.

Rush Limbaugh has an interesting theory on abortion, Lester. He says that conservatives let their babies live and libs/dems tend to abort theirs. In a hundred years, with the current trend, there could be no libs/dems left. Although I'm not fond of their politics, it does sound like a bit of a silver lining on the abortion cloud, doesn't it?

Since conservatives like killing their kids by way of sending them off to fight yet another holy crusade I think conservatives will end up extinct long before anyone else with half a brain

As for adult stem cells, sorry to burst your bubble but they're not as effective as embryonic stem cells. Case in point: Really Long Link

Oh and if you're so compassionate why do you oppose universal healthcare? Especailly for children? It seems to me that you stop giving a damn about those poor innocent defenseless creatures the moment they are born. I guess GWB was right to deny so many children healthcare?
