I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Self-Fulfilling Prophecies of the Left

May 10th 2008 01:59
Here's how it works, folks... The libs/dems create a problem and then run on a platform of fixing the problem that they either caused or invented. Happens every time. Just like clockwork.

Energy... The Clintons (and Algore) had eight (count 'em EIGHT) years in office to deal with the energy needs of the country. They did exactly nothing. They had no energy policy. They forbade drilling in ANWAR, off the coast line, in the oil shale regions, everywhere. They forbade the building of new refineries, citing "ecological concerns". They forbade nuclear facilities for the same reason. They did nothing whatsoever to encourage new technology to deal with future energy needs. Now, they want to get re-elected so they can "solve" the problems that have been there all along.

Healthcare... Except for the disastrous "Hillary-care" they did nothing about covering everyone with medical care on demand (except abortion, of course). Now the platform promises that universal healthcare will be a reality. Barak Obama makes the same promise, of course. It's a great attention getter, but they won't actually do anything beyond raising taxes and providing for more illegal aliens at the expense of citizens.

Education... Here's the dirtiest secret of them all, folks. Our education system has been in a steady state of decline since the 1960's when the libs/dems took it over in the first place. Every election cycle, they make more noise about the dismal state of schools in the USA and their solution is always the same. Protect the teachers unions, teach their liberal values, and soak up more tax money while the quality of education continues to decline.

Infrastructure... From the Loiusiana levees to the Wisconsin bridges, the libs/dems have taken the money and run for years. They spent a fortune on museums, and bike trails and fancy bathrooms instead of doing necessary repairs and upgrades. They promise to fix everything and then let it ride until there's a disaster, hoping it'll happen during a Republican administration so they can whine and howl about it. And throw accusations instead of stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility for their own neglect.

There are plenty of other issues I could go into, but you get the idea.

Hey S.L. the dems are the best con men and woman I have every seen in action. That's why they got Howard Dean to be chairman of the party.
What a nut case!

You got that right, Lester! The most amazing part is how anyone can admit to being a Democrat without geting embarrassed. Look at what their "leaders" are! lol

I figured you'd like it! And TBT cuts right to the chase. We've had a lively battle or two on earlier posts. He (or she) knows chapter and verse and it's a thing of beauty to watch the athiests shut down! lol

You undoubtedly know more about God than I do, Ruby. lol Last I heard, God doesn't mind if we're proud of Him. He also doesn't object if we spread His word.

JAMES 4:6 NKJ
6 . . ."God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

PROVERBS 29:23 NKJ
23 A man's pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honor.

Not bad quotes, Ruby. Totally inappropriate, but at least you can find things in the Bible. Now, find something that says abortion is acceptable to God and that He doesn't want us to speak of Him. Go ahead, I'll wait.

who cares what the bible says abortion? i don't. just thought that as a Christian you should know that god does not like it when people boast. apparently. not that i care what god thinks. but you should.

And of what was I boasting, Ruby? The fact that another blogger knows the Bible well enough to cite chapter and verse? Or the fact that I am delighted to see the Word of God make monkeys of athiests? For someone who denies the existence of God, you seem to be quite opinionated on the rights of others to believe in Him...

If I had a nickle for every typo I've ever done, I'd buy the Taj Mahal for a vacation house.

In Australia "meds" are a brand of women's sanitary pads.

The Taj Mahal haha. Sometimes SL, I almost like you...
