Hillary and Barack Reuniting for the Convention
August 14th 2008 18:08
I hear that Barack Obama is going to approve the nomination of Hillary Clinton at the convention. Publicly he's saying that it's a tribute to her and her "historical" campaign. She made the announcement through a surrogate and appears to be pleased. Isn't that just the sweetest gesture you ever heard of? Or could there be an ulterior motive...?
Suppose Barack has no VP chosen by the convention? Suppose Hillary gets such a huge response to her "tribute" vote that the only answer to "save the party and put a Democrat back in the White House" is for them to agree to join forces with Hillary in the "number two" spot on the ticket? Hillary being "number two," how very appropriate!
Denver is waiting, holding it's collective breath to see what happens. I can't help but wonder why Denver has such a shortage of Limo's, though. You'd think that such a "historic" convention, the one that will nominate the first black president (Bill Clinton, eat your heart out) would have been spending every second preparing for the event. Could it be that the Denver folks actually believed all the trash the Dems have been talking? Could they possibly have thought that the Democrats were really "green" and would be willing to use public transportation like they try to get the rest of us to do? I wonder if the folks at Stapleton are ready for the influx of private jets or if those planes will simply fly home again and return for their "environmentally sensitive" passengers? Of course, it's different when the lib/dem politicians waste the all important "carbon credits" because they're special. And they can afford their big, fat, "carbon footprints."
I have a suggestion for the theme for their convention. How about "Hypocricy on Parade"?
