I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Independence Day Sunrise

July 4th 2009 12:07
When I was kid, the Fourth of July started hot and dry and remained that way until long after the fireworks had ended. That is not the case this year. The sun is rising right now and showing a misty world around me. The sky is white and gray and the breeze is nice and cool.

My grand niece finally showed up last night. She should be here soon to help me get ready for the TEA Party. Lest you think I'm lazy, the fact is that I'm not able to do much of anything. When I say all I can do anymore is hold my fingers over the keyboard and twitch, I'm not kidding. My mouth and my brain still work quite well (although some folks might disagree on the brain part... LOL)

Anyway, enough griping... I don't know how many will be showing up today, but I have some information printed out and can certainly print out more if necessary. I'm not crazy about getting the flag wet, but the one I have is nylon and a little rain won't hurt it, so as soon as the sun is all the way up, out it goes!

My niece (not to be confused with my grand niece) is using my refrigerator to store some of the goodies for the family party later tonight. It's almost too much of a temptation to poke around and see what's there. But I won't...

This is Independence Day, folks. Enjoy it, use it wisely and never forget what this day means and why we celebrate it with fireworks. "The rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there..."

I am not really feeling it this year but I am going to a tea party later. It may be our last one as Obama won't want to promote American Spirit.

He'll find a way to make everything patriotic illegal as fast as he can, Randy. There may be no celebrations a year from today. But we have to stand up and be counted sometime or we the sheeple will be led to the slaughter.

God Bless America, and may she prevail against the enemies from without, and from within. America has be the pearl of the world for the last 230 years, may she continue, and endure forever as the beckon of freedom, and justice.

She won't if the present leaders continue to destroy her bit by bit eroding her freedoms, and standing in the world. TEA anyone.

Well said, Lester. If we don't put a stop to the craziness, the USA will be no more. TEA for everyone.

God Bless America!

It seems that global warming is taking its toll in my part of the world. With a really brutal winter we went through, and the soggy cooler summer so far, I hope we can fight global warming! Or at least build an ark!

Happy 4th!

You can relax now, signals, Globull warming is no more. The planet has actually been cooling for the last several years. The polar bears and penguins are doing fine. And reputable scientists by the thousands are finally standing up and saying it was all a politically motivated lie. They can't keep the trash talk going and look in the mirror any more. So now we're safe. From everything but crooked politicians...
