Confusing Terms, Indeed...

Watching the election results this evening has made me curious about the way things are worded these days. Watching Glenn Beck brought home a good point yesterday, too. It's amazing how words can be translated to mean the opposite of what they were intended to convey.
For example, "Workers of the world, throw off your chains!" is probably the best known saying from the early (and unsuspecting) days of Communism. But members of the B.O. (B.S.) administration are using them as though it's a brand new idea they just came up with it! If you think I'm kidding, get a transcript of Glenn Beck's TV show for Nov. 3, 2009.
Former Gov. Corzine referred to Democrat policies as "progressive" which is a complete contradiction to reality. There is nothing "progressive" about the Democrat policies. Taking a system (socialism) that has been tried repeatedly and never worked, is insanity, not progressive. It's like wearing someone else's dirty clothes and calling yourself "clean."
Another term that disturbs me for it's inaccuracy, is "extreme." It usually seems to be applied to Conservatives who want to follow the American Constitution and return to the founding principles that made us great for more than two centuries.
Let me get this straight... "Progress" is revisiting failure and forcing it on others and "extremism" is returning to things that work and bring about unprecedented prosperity. Is that right?
Don't liberals believe in using dictionaries? Is it some kind of a crime to say what you mean and mean what you say? Apparently so...
