What's the Difference Between Personal Attacks and Telling the Truth?
October 10th 2008 23:34
At the onset of this campaign, John McCain said he would conduct a dignified campaign and not engage in the "politics of personal destruction." He has kept his word. Now he's finally beginning to realize that walking on eggshells isn't going to get him into the White House. He's speaking the truth about Barack Obama and Joe Biden, but not with vicious rumors and lies. He is asking legitimate questions and citing verified facts. That is a prime case of telling the truth.
Accusing john McCain of being ignorant and "out of touch" because his war injuries keep him from being able to type. That was a personal attack. Bringing up McCains health and age were personal attacks. All the insults and accusations against Sarah Palin have been nothing but personal attacks. Dragging her family into the mix with nasty remarks and searching all over Alaska to dig up dirt on the Palin family. That was personal.
The difference is pretty obvious to me. Obama and his minions have had a field day with their ugliness and slurs, but now they're whining up a storm (typical Democrats, all) about McCain and Palin bringing up things that are true and have a bearing on the election. You'd have thought that we learned something from the Clinton years, wouldn't you? We should have learned that character does matter. Clearly Barack Hussein Obama has no character whatsoever. Neither do those who support him. And, in spite of all the "aisle crossing" foolishness, John Sidney McCain has loads of character and integrity.

there you go again.
if senator mccain had a bone of honor in him, he would honor his word. he saw the polls, he knew he was losin' so he decided to go on the attack....only if it were true.....just because Fox, the weekly standard and your hero ann coulter say it is so, don't make it so....
