Candidate's Update, Patricia Stricherz

I got this a little while ago from Patricia Stricherz. She's running for office in South Dakota. If you've ever wondered what life is like on the campaign trail, she can tell you.
"Tuesday the 28th was the last forum before the election. It was interesting in the least. My Democratic contender was insistent of snatching the microphone out of my hand on numerous occasions so that he could speak first. Must be a little fear there. All through this campaign I have tried to voice that I am being hired by the people to do a job for them, and therefore I expect to be called, emailed or written to let me know how I am doing in my job or to just let me know what their concerns are. That just rips the democratic candidates butt every time I say it. But, I only speak the truth.....now that's a new approach in politics.
My closing remarks that night went as follows:
" As we have campaigned together, all of the candidates have gotten to know each other fairly well. So if you want spirit, vote Gerry Lange, if you want intelligence, vote Jerry Johnson, if you drive & determination, vote Mitch Fargen...but if you want all of the above...vote Patricia Stricherz."
I haven't heard the end of it since. Seems my statement hit a cord with lots of folks. They were impressed.
