Brolins Humor

I used to like James Brolin. Way back when he was on "Marcus Welby, M.D." I thought he was a good looking guy and a pretty fair actor. When he was on "Wings of Gold" I liked his character and thought he was a decent man. His wedding to Barbra Streisand made me wonder a little... but I figured maybe it was like many marriages that have political partners, but not politics. James Carville and Mary Matalin, for example. I was still willing to think well of him. On 9-11-07, however, he cured me permanently of any good thoughts about him.
Brolin was being interviewed on a radio program somewhere back east that I've never heard. He was supposed to be discussing his newest movie, I guess. Instead, when reminded of the date, he said lightly, "Well, happy 9-11!" Excuse me? Intelligent people say "Happy" in relation to things like birthdays, holidays, and happy occasions. He behaved as stupidly as his wife. One of the hosts reminded him that 3000 people died that day and he seemed to find it comical. Either he's just plain stupid or... just like his wife... or...
Sorry, folks, but when someone behaves that badly, I don't want to watch them on TV or in a movie or listen to their music or anything. Maybe I'm too hardline, but from now on, every time I see him, all I'll be able to hear is "Happy 9-11." His colors are showing very clearly.
