The Bhutto Assassination

Pakistan has been something of a hotbed of unrest (nuclear armed) for quite awhile. Since the tragic death of Benazir Bhutto, however, it has gotten a little raspier, to say the least. In the USA, we have had assassinations... Lincoln, Garfield and Kennedy. They were elected presidents, folks, not candidates or ex-leaders. I can't recall even once when we degenerated into mass violence and engaged in looting, burning and murder to soothe our wounded feelings. What's wrong with the Pakistanis, anyway? At least they didn't continue the riioting all the way to the nukes... that's something, isn't it?
Now the elections may or may not go ahead as scheduled. I wonder what the outcome will be? Will Bhutto be elected posthumously in sympathy? Will her son (who has taken control of the party) be elected in spite of his age and the fact that he doesn't have his Oxford degree yet? Or will another candidate emerge very quickly to take her place?
Will Sharif be elected because he's a good Muslim? Or will the General stay in office until the elections can be rescheduled? Who is in control of their nukes? Makes you wonder, huh?
I was listening to an interview with Benazir Bhutto, not long after she returned to Pakistan. She was quite convinced that "no Muslim" would dare to harm her. She seemed to actually believe that those kind, gentle, peaceful, loving Muslims were devoted to their women and that she had nothing to fear from them. Her conviction was so strong that she stood and waved to the crowd through the sun-roof right before she died. Those who were present (and film of the event!) prove that she was, indeed, shot, just before the explosion that killed twenty bystanders. But the good Muslim doctors who treated her and then pronounced her dead, are trying to tell everyone that she died of a skull fracture from bumping her head as she attempted to duck back inside the car after the bomb went off. Sorry, folks, I just don't buy it. I saw the film. Are the doctors lying to protect other good Muslims who shot her? Are they lying to try to keep the peace in a country that hangs on the edge? Or are they just plain idiots? Who knows. I do know one thing, folks, without a doubt. Those who shot her and blew up innocent people were Muslims.
I'll say this one more time for those of you who just didn't get it the first hundred times. Not all Muslims are terrorists. But all the terrorists ARE MUSLIMS! They kill even their own without compunction. Their "religion" is their excuse for cold blooded murder. And still there are idiots willing to defend them and even support them.

We have thousands of Americans killed in traffic accidents every year, many of those that drove the vehicles were professed Christians; where is your umbrage against that group as a whole?

If you're trying to pretend that the Islamic fundamentalist killers are just nice people (misunderstood) by the rest of the world, you're only fooling yourself. They'd behead you as quickly as they would anyone else. So keep defending them and putting your ignorance on display. But do it somewhere else, you're boring me.
