I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Another Useful Crisis

May 29th 2010 14:31
I think it was Rahm Emmanuel who said "never let a crisis go to waste". Well, they have a dandy right now, don't they? In his haste to reduce us to a third world country, the Gulf oil spill happened and has been allowed to become just the crisis they were waiting for. I said to begin with (and I wasn't alone) that this would be the perfect opportunity for all drilling to be ended. Guess what? It worked! Big shocker there, huh? From the throne room in the White House, we are forbidden to drill any more oil of our own.

It isn't just ignorance or basic stupidity either, folks. B.O. (B.S.) has been hoping for an accident of some sort to allow him to stop our efforts to get our own oil and stop being dependent on foreigners that hate us. I'll bet the new rules will include even drilling on dry land and in shallow water. Well, that should do it, right? What's a little disaster for the people along the Gulf coast, compared to the progressive agenda? The end justifies the means, right? He isn't even willing to allow certain measures to slow or stop or clean up the oil leak, citing "environmental" concerns. WHAT?? How many kinds of an idiot does it take to allow one disaster in order to "protect the environment" that the current disaster in destroying?

Remember all the hoopla surrounding Hurricane Katrina? It was all Bush's fault because he hated black people? Nobody admitted that it was the Louisiana Governor and New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin who failed, not President Bush. Where are those same complainers and accusers now? B.O. (B.S.) doesn't give a rat's behind about the people, the economy or the environment, folks. This mess belongs to him, 100%. Maybe it's because he hates Americans... maybe it's his agenda... maybe he should resign... Yeah. I like the last one best. And to show everyone how "green" he really is, how about a 20 mule team of democrats pulling him out of DC on their bicycles.

It is his baby, but they will blame Bush anyway. Obama doesn't have a clue, nor like you said he doesn't care. He will use this crisis to stop all oil drilling of the coasts, and put us further in debit to Muslim Countries that want to do us harm.

That's a fact, Lester. He'll find a way to use anything and everything against us and leave us with only the right to remain silent and a big, fat bill to pay.

Yeah everything bad that will happen or has happened is because of Bush.

Sad but true, Randy. Harry Truman used to say "The buck stops here," B.O. (B.S.) says it too. But what he means is our last tax dollar should stop in his pocket and the blame buck stops with the previous occupant of the Oval Office. Just liberal semantics...

unless you earn more than $250k a year, your taxes actually decreased under Obama.

That's not only one of his biggest lies, Ruby, it's also one of the most glaring. Several major corporations (some of whom were even stupid enough to contribute to his campaign) have done the numbers and discovered this wonderful program (health care reform) with cost them billions every year. That means reduced benefits and lay-offs. The CBO, who was willing to lie for him (or was given all the wrong facts) has changed from agreeing with the insane program to speaking out against it and admitting that it isn't possible to increase services, lower costs, and not have draconian rationing at best.

As for the lower taxes, that's ridiculous! Already our taxes have increased. Taxes on goods and services, state taxes to pay for newly mandated programs, state, county and city taxes. Newsflash, Ruby, you don't show proof of income when you go grocery shopping and the prices are all higher (and expected to climb).

All those imaginary new jobs (or saved jobs) that were promised don't exist. Unemployment is almost 10% and there is no sign of improvement (except in a few deranged minds).
