Hey, I'm an Equal Opportunity Griper
July 2nd 2008 23:54
I wouldn't want anyone to get the idea that I'm a McCain supporter, any more than Ann Coulter is (and for the same reasons) so in keeping with being an equal opportunity Griper, here is Ann's view on McCain. For myself, I will add that he does so little to please real conservatives, he doesn't deserve to even borrow the title for the few conservative ideas he continues to espouse. I mean, I'm glad he's pro-life and that he would appoint "constructionist" judges rather than "liberal activist" judges to the courts, but after that his conservatism seems to evaporate into a mist of political correctness. John Sidney McCain was a war hero and he has been in the Senate for twenty years or so (belying Gen. Wesley Clarks accusations that he doesn't have enough experience for the job of President... like Obama does, Gen. Clark?)
McCain is better qualified for the White House than Obama, true, but his positions still reak of pandering to all the wrong people and a spinelessness that we conservatives find very unappealing.
Really Long Link

Angry Electorate
With that being said, what's left? I will certainly vote. Bob Barr is not a reasonable option. Nor is Ralph Nader. I did check out Chuck Baldwin. He definitely has some views that I STRONGLY agree with. I know he has no chance of winning, but I don't care. McCain and Obama are both disgusting choices to me and I can't, in good conscience, vote for them.
