I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Ann, the day After

Ann Coulter has a great column today. She explains clearly why McCain lost, and she's absolutely right. Constant compromise of principles never accomplishes anything but allowing your opponents to win.

If you doubt me on this, folks, here's something to think about... Ronald Reagan never "crossed the aisle" and compromised his beliefs. He did quite well, as I recall! If you think that was too long ago to matter, try this one, Bobby Jindal became the governor of Louisiana on a clear conservative platform.

The future of politics in America has changed and if we want to rescue it before it's too late and the liberals have destroyed us, we should start planning for a winning ticket in 2012. I suggest Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal (position on the ticket doesn't matter). They'll each have four more years as governors and no one will be able to complain about their experience.

The end of Ann's column is worth reading twice! LOL

Ann Coulter? You gotta be-- Oh, you know what, never mind. Two days after the election, I'm still in too good of a mood to argue.

Hey S.L. Ann does cut corners if she like you she likes, and if she doesn't she really doesn't. I have to disagree with her about Mike Huckabee I like Mike.

With the way George Bush has been treated these last eight years the dems/liberals are now saying lets get a lone and heal our nation. I don't think there is a lot of people out there that really want to sit around a campfire and sign kum ba ya with liberals.

I am going to try to hold my criticism, and give B.O. a chance to screw up, as I know he will. I think you will see just what we are in for when he starts announcing his cabinet.

Enjoy it while you can noaIzumi. You'll have plenty of time for regrets after he takes over.

Good point, Lester. I like Mike, too. I can imagine who he'll want in his cabinet. Maybe Murtha in charge of the military? Dr. Tiller for Surgeon General. William Ayres for Education. Louis Farakhan for Ambassador to Israel. Rev. Wright as Chaplain and advisor. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the idea. After all he picked Biden for his international expertise (and to add "gravitas")

Hearing that Sarah Palin wants to run for president in 2012 actually made me laugh out loud.

She's one of the reasons McCain did not get elected, so what chance does she stand on her own?

To be fully honest, although I am an Obama supporter, McCain made a decent impression on me -- one of calm goodwill and wisdom based on experience. (See? I am open-minded and fully open to alternative views as long as I don't sniff out any blatant stupidity.)

On the other hand, his freaky Alaskan sidekick scared the hell out of many, many people, not only those in America. She had no worldly experience and had a small town mentality that she was too dumb to conceal ("Alaska this... Alaska that...").

In all honesty, can you really imagine someone like that (with no foreign policy experience!) actually being the president of the USA and having meaningful conversations with important world leaders? I mean, SERIOUSLY...

(As I said before, McCain is not in the same category as her. Even I, as an Obama supporter, would put him far ahead of her.)

She also made the impression of being one of those freaky religious fanatics (who also scare the hell out of many, many people).

Freaky Sarah from Alaska...

Geez, it seems I am becoming an avid reader of your blog -- even though I disagree with 95% of what you say. Maybe that's the whole fun...

S.L. Biden scares me about as much as Obama, you never know who he will Tee off next. Maybe Russia and then we can have Nuclear War.

McCain was why McCain lost the election EW. Ann was right about that. Sarah is a conservative while McCain has been trying to be a moderate (moderates are losers because they have no solid ground most of the time).

Sarah's religion bothers you and B.O.'s doesn't? I wonder if her pastor screams "God damn America!" from the pulpit? Does it disturb you that she has five kids? Ot that she didn't kill the youngest? B.O. would have killed that innocent little boy in a heart beat. (pun intended)

And as for her lack of international experience, she has more than B.O. Governors have to deal with foreign governments and B.O. might have if he hadn't started running for president after 143 days in "office."
So he picks Joe Biden as his running mate. A man with vast experience (?) who has yet to be right for the first time on international politics. B.O. is convinced that merely being elected will give him everything he needs to schmooze all the terrorists into playing nice. If that isn't the limit of innocence and arrogance, what would you call it?

Yes, Lester, Biden scares me, too. His mouth will be a serious factor in any upcoming problems.

In retrospect, after 8 years of Bush insanity, a Democrat was destined to win. That is why the Hillary vs Obama match was so nasty and messy.

The key issue now is, are we going to even have a financial system, at least on an international level? Or will we go back to barter, and back to the trees? Lyndon the Geezer is working on it.

I just heard that the Dow is down 790 points since the election. Obama is trying to say the finances are better already. The media is no longer interested in the economy now that their hero is there to fix it. More of this trash to come, Howard.

Hey S.L. I predicted on another blog that the DOW will hit 4000 if Obama was elected, and it's on it's way down even before he is sworn in. before the election it was on it's way back up.

He's managed to fool the voters and the media, Lester, but he can't fool the stock market. They understand what damage his plans will do. Too bad more voters and the media didn't get it in time...

Ann Coulter's article is right on the mark and it summarizes my thoughts exactly. McCain was the last person I wanted to see on the ballot. Maybe he had the best chance of winning, but he revels in stabbing conservatives in the back. He was unacceptable to me.

And to me as well, PopCon. He wasn't in my top five choices for president. But the Democrats stuck us with him (with the help of the media) and there we were. The smartest thing he could have done was to pick Sarah Palin for his running mate. Now the Dems are scared she'll be back and are doing everything they can to trash her. Probably fearing for the 2012 elections.
