I am highly opinionated with a firm grip on the difference between right and wrong. I pay more attention to the candidates and the issues than to precise party lines. My facts are just that... FACTS- and my opinions are MY opinions- Regardless of what the subject, you can always find a good read on my blog, I write about various issues and not everything is focused on the subject of politics. I hope you enjoy!

Gloom, Despair and oh Nevermind!

July 16th 2008 14:23
That seems to be the current Democrat platform, folks. Gloom and despair up the wazoo as they try to find new complaints while studiously avoiding any responsibility for the unresolved "problems" they invented for the last election cycle. Think I'm kidding?

In the 2006 elections, what did the Democrats promise?

1. to end the war immediately.

2. more transparency in government.

3. education reform.

4. to go "green"

These are enough for illustration purposes, since I can't remember any of the others, anyway. Let's see how they did, shall we?

1. we're still at war. The Surge worked and we're winning. Wonder what Iraq would be like today if they'd kept their word and gotten us out. Maybe a taliban stronghold? Or an al Qieda training state?

2. well, they're pretty transparent. Anyone who pays attention can see right through their "promises" to their real motives.

3. they make this promise every election and the schools keep getting worse.

4. going "green" is one of their biggest ploys for getting votes. Has been for years. It's based on the lie that we caused Climate Change and that paying for "carbon credits" will somehow accomplish something besides making people like Al Gore richer.

Makes ya want to run right out and vote for Obama, doesn't it? NOT

S.L.

So much for the Democrats being the party of ending the war quickly; now The Big O wants to revv up the Afghanistan War (understandable, but why did it take him so long to see what's happening?)

Transparency's almost impossible when you're trying to find more ways to complicate things in order to create problems that can oly be "solved" by the Democrats if they get in. If they don't, guess what? The problems remain, the GOP does nothing on Democratic created problems because that'd leave them without a wedge. Nothing gets solved.

Education reform? Yeah, with more guys like that former Amherst MA school superintendent? Not to mention all the other gobbledygook nonsense programs the Democrats will be honor bound to run through at the DoEd. Watch and see how they botch "ed reform."

Going "green" has more than an enviromental purpose; always has and always will. Just like the American missionaries who sailed to Hawaii to "do good but also did well" -- you can almost see where this is going. Just watch all the dollar bills falling out Fat Albert's pockets for his speaking engagements, his "Noble" award and that "oscar" winning bore of a flic.

GREAT POST YOU PUT UP!

Hey S.L. the dems know that ending the war would be their worse mistake, because it is their biggest whining point. They would have nothing to cry about if the war ended, they use it to stir hate for George Bush.

As far as being transparent, you can't see something that is not there. The dems are like kids that play make believe.

Putting education in the hands of the dems is like giving a bank robber the key to the bank. They rob the taxpayers and what do we get kids that graduate dumber than a box of rocks even if they graduate.

Going green is a big gold rush, and Al gore Owns all the picks and shovels, we see who has made the money. Whether Global warming is real, or just a figment of Al Gore imagination we are the ones paying for it.

Thank you Steven! You're right about nothing ever seeming to get done. Those wedge issues are everlasting...

Hey Lester! You're right about the Dems, right down the line. Like Shakespeare said, "All sound and fury, signifying nothing." He must have been a visionary! lol
