Post Number 1000!
June 17th 2008 14:23
It's hard to believe, but this is my 1000th post on Orble. I wasn't aware of it until last night when a friend pointed it out to me. Really Long Link (This is the person who told me, so here's a plug. Use this link if you're interested in moving to Australia.)
I couldn't decide what to say on such a momentous event. Should I just ignore it and speak my mind on one of my usual subjects? Should I use the opportunity to fire back at the people who constantly accuse me of being racist or of "spewing hate and vitriol"? Not today. Those who have to call me names to make themselves feel better aren't worth the trouble. So this post, number 1000 is dedicated to those who are worth the effort to read.
When I'm looking for a Christian perspective, I have two places to go, Really Long Link and Really Long Link
If I'm looking for information on herbs and natural remedies, I go to Really Long Link
To get a perspective on distant people, places and politics, there's Really Long Link
For interesting (and occasionally somewhat over the edge) information on finances, I read
Really Long Link
When I wonder what Alaskans think, Really Long Link
And a new favorite of mine, http://plancksconstant.org/
There are many other interesting blogs on Orble, of course, and I do a lot of reading. It also provides me with great material for my political books!
So, thank you Orble and fellow Orblers for making blogging so much fun! Now to start on the second thousand posts!

Congratulations on your prolific writing. You and I disagree on many issues but you express your views well when you avoid the easy and cute nicknames.
But criticism has no place here; just a simple congratulations. I have every expectation that of your next 1,000 posts at least 990 will get my blood pressure up.

I almost forgot another favorite of mine. PopCon is very evenhanded with his political analysis.

Hi Fog, what's wrong? Are you jealous because I didn't mention you in my diarrhea (Orblerrhea) attack?

of course, you are an expert on kindness and the doyen of the world when it comes to being 'open minded', one just has to read some of your posts to....
Or, maybe you are just a comedian with a very black sense of ill humour...
